Dad accused of burning 4-year-old son with cigarette for "misbehaving" (Victory, New York)
The dad is identified as ROBERT RIGDON JR. And once again, we're left wondering if there was a mother in this home. The boy is now staying with the (paternal?) grandparents. Why? What happened to Mom?

Man accused of burning child with cigarette

VICTORY, N.Y. -- A Cayuga County man is accused of burning his 4 year old son with a cigarette as punishment for misbehaving.
State Police said they were alerted to the situation by child protective services. The boy told a worker that his father, 37 year old Robert Rigdon Jr. of Victory, Burned him on the leg because he was quote: "being bad."
Rigdon was arrested and is being charged with assault, possession of a weapon and endangering the welfare of a child, and is was jailed on $15,000 bail.
The boy is said to be staying with his grandparents.
