Police: Dad shot two kids to death before setting RV on fire (Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona)
We've posted on this case before. Once again, a father slaughtered his own kids in a murder-suicide. The dad is identified as ANTHONY DEHAVEN. Still not one single word on what happened to the mother of these poor children, or how or why Daddy was able to take them out of school for this "vacation" with no apparent reports that they were absent. Was DeHaven a single father? Was Mom deceased or otherwise "missing"? You have to wonder about these cases where there is no mention of a mother anywhere, and Dad is a proven killer....

Authorities believe Minn. father shot his 2 kids before setting RV on fire near Grand Canyon

GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK, Ariz. — Authorities believe a Minnesota father involved in a murder-suicide near the Grand Canyon earlier this month shot his two children before igniting a fire inside their motor home.
Investigators said Thursday that it appears 35-year-old Anthony DeHaven of Woodbury then turned the gun on himself on Oct. 3 during a vacation in Arizona. The RV was in a parking area along the most-traveled road into the Grand Canyon’s popular South Rim near a sign where tourists often pose for pictures.
Grand Canyon officials say they won’t release the names of the juvenile victims, their ages or their gender out of respect for the family. A spokeswoman for the North St. Paul-Maplewood-Oakdale school district in Minnesota had previously identified them as Jersey DeHaven, a kindergartener at Skyview School in Oakdale, and sixth-grader Jace DeHaven.
