Dad faces felony charge as 3-month-old son clings to life (San Antonio, Texas)
Dad MATTHEW JOHN RESENDEZ has been arrested on "injury to a child that caused severe bodily injury" charges for "allegedly" assaulting his 3-month-old son. Of course, Daddy and the baby were "alone at the time of the incident." Aren't they always. Was Mom working while Daddy played at stay-at-home father? Who knows. Not a word about the mother here.
INVISIBLE MOTHER ALERT.

A three-month-old boy clung to life while his 19-year-old father faced a charge of injury to a child that caused severe bodily injury, police said Thursday.
Matthew John Resendez was arrested late Thursday following the early morning incident at an apartment in the 17000 block of Henderson Pass, said San Antonio Homicide Sgt. Jim Coles.
Coles said that arriving EMS technicians found the child had stopped breathing. He was transported to a nearby hospital and then transferred via helicopter to University Hospital in what Coles described as “grave condition.”
Emergency room doctors told police the infant had a fractured skull, bleeding of the brain, eye injuries and possible fractured ribs, and that the injuries were likely caused by abuse, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.
Coles said the father and child were alone at the time of the incident. He noted that the single felony count could be upgraded if the infant dies.
Resendez made no comment as he was transported from the police department to the Bexar County Jail.
