Dad sentenced in torture, death of 7-week-old son; dad got "frustrated" while mom was working (Barstow, California)
Dad DAVON TRANELL JOHNSON has finally been sentenced in the 2007 torture and death of his 7-week-old son. Yet ANOTHER case where Mom had to work to support Dad's lazy @$$, and while she was working, the babysitting daddy got "frustrated" from the baby's crying and killed the infant. This baby was only 7-weeks old. In a better world, this mom would have been home on paid maternity leave.

The father of a 7-week-old infant son was sentenced Friday in Barstow to 25 years to life in state prison in the child's death in 2007.
A jury found Davon Tranell Johnson guilty in October of torture and assault on a child causing injury or death during a trial in Barstow Superior Court, according to court records.
Several people read statements to the court Friday during the sentencing proceedings held before Judge Cheryl Kersey, court records indicate.
The defendant's son, Zyeir Johnson, died July 13, 2007 at Loma Linda University Medical Center after being brought into Barstow Community Hospital eight days earlier with traumatic injuries. Zyeir was not breathing and had suffered internal hemorrhaging, severe broken bones and bruising.
Johnson, who was 20 at the time, was watching the child while Zyeir's mother was at work. He admitted to investigators that his frustration from the boy's crying led him to squeeze, strike, shake and toss the child.
