We've posted on dad ARMANDO KOSTA before.

Appears to be another case of a deadbeat (and alcoholic) father playing at stay-at-home dad while Mom worked.

MOUNT CLEMENS, Mich. (AP) — A father has pleaded no contest to a child abuse charge that he made his two young children walk a half-mile in below-zero temperatures after crashing his car in a Macomb County ditch.

The Macomb Daily reports Monday that 37-year-old Armando Kosta of Sterling Heights will be sentenced Dec. 15.

Records show Kosta's no contest plea last Thursday was accepted. The newspaper says a drunken driving charge was dropped.

Police say Kosta wrecked his car Jan. 2 in Harrison Township, then walked with his 4-year-old daughter and 2-year-old son to an apartment building where he looked for help. The children had no hats or gloves, and the boy was missing a shoe.

Defense attorney George Serkian declined Monday to comment on Kosta's plea.
