OVER-THE-RHINE – A father was charged with flinging his baby boy at the infant’s mother during a violent encounter Sunday night.
Eric L. Davis, 40, was booked into the Hamilton County jail just before 6:30 p.m. on charges of child endangering and domestic violence. He was held overnight without bond.
According to court documents, Davis swung at the baby’s mother during an argument inside an apartment in the 500 block of Wade Street.
He spit in her face, threatened her and then flung the baby to her.
The baby was not seriously injured and is staying with his mother, according to Cincinnati police.
Child caseworkers with the Hamilton County Department of Job and Family Services are investigating, said agency spokesman Brian Gregg.
The parents are no longer together, Gregg added.
