Infant suffers stroke following abuse; dad arrested (Bedford County, Tennessee)

Dad ANDREW JOHNSTON has been charged with aggravated child abuse. His 1-month-old son was so badly abused that he suffered a stroke en route to the hospital. No mention of Mom. Wonder if Daddy was "caretaking" while she was working or something.

Infant Suffers Stroke Following Abuse; Father Arrested

BEDFORD COUNTY, Tenn. - A Bedford County man has been arrested for allegedly abusing his infant son so severely that the child suffered a stroke.

Andrew Johnston was charged with aggravated child abuse.

Investigators said Johnston called for an ambulance and said his one-month-old son was unresponsive.

At the hospital, doctors discovered a brain hemorrhage, and airlifted the baby to Vanderbilt. The child suffered a stroke en route, and medics also discovered broken ribs and fingerprint marks.

The baby remains hospitalized at Vanderbilt.

Johnston was held on $100,000 bond.
