Dad/stepdad arrested for abusing 3 children (Oklahoma City, Oklahoma)
Stepdad/dad JEREMIAH C. STEPETIN has been arrested for abusing his two stepkids (ages 9 and 6) and his biological child, age 3. This example makes it clear why it's useless for critics to belabor some big distinction between dads, stepdads, or boyfriends. Often the abuser is more than one of the above. As is too often the case, there is no mention of the mom (or stepmom) at all, so we have no idea how Stepetin got access to all these kids. Single dad? Got to wonder when the kids are going into DSS custody.

OKLAHOMA CITY - A man was arrested last week for child abuse at Tinker Air Force Base.
Jeremiah C. Stepetin, 25, was arrested by Oklahoma County Sheriff's deputies on Thursday.
Deputies were called to the base on a report on child abuse. When they arrived they found two children, Stepetin's step-kids, had several bruises after being hit with a strip of metal from a dry erase board, according to an arrest report.
The children ages 9, and 6 were taken into protective custody, and sent to the hospital where doctors found contusions caused by blunt force. A 3-year-old, Stepetin's biological child, also was taken into custody and found to have bruising from previous incidents.
Stepetin is being held in the Oklahoma County jail on a $30,000 bond. The arrest report lists his employer as the United States Navy.
All three children are in state custody pending a hearing by the Department of Human Services.
