Dad arrested in connection with shooting death of 16-month-old son; parents were getting a divorce and kids were visiting Dad (Midland, Indiana)
Dad RONALD BOHANNON said that "somebody" shot his 16-month-old son to death while they were out taking a walk (a 4-year-old son had come along too). But there were some problems: police couldn't find a shell casing, but they did find a handgun in a nearby wooded area. Dad has now been arrested on charges of reckless homicide.
According to the article immediately following the one below, the mother says that she and her husband were in the process of getting a divorce (reasons were unspecified, but do you want to bet that domestic violence/abuse played a role?). Nevertheless, even the mother is shocked that the father of this child could do such a thing.
Another article (not posted here) states that the mother lived in Terre Haute, Indiana and that the children were visiting the father in Midland at the time of the shooting.
