Dad arrested for injuring 2-month-old daughter (Wichita, Kansas)

UNNAMED DAD has been arrested for injuring his 2-month-old daughter. This is the 3rd abuser dad to come out of the Wichita, Kansas area this summer. And there are no doubt many more we don't hear of.

Wellington infant hospitalized with head injuries; father arrested

WICHITA — A 2-month-old Wellington girl has been hospitalized in Wichita with injuries to her head and face, and her father has been arrested, authorities said.

The infant was brought to Via Christi Regional Medical Center-St. Francis Campus on Saturday for treatment, and Wichita police were alerted.

They in turn notified Wellington police, Wellington Police Chief Tracy Heath said.

The 20-year-old father of the child was arrested early Sunday morning in Wellington, Heath said. The infant has been placed in protective police custody.

The baby is in stable condition, Heath said, but doctors plan to do more tests today to better assess the extent of her injuries.
