Dad arrested for death of 5-month-old daughter; baby had multiple fractures, fatal head injury (Tarrant County, Texas)

Dad is identified as EDWIN ALEXANDER ANDRADE-RAMOS. Sounds like another situation where Mom had to work to support the family, while Dad was the unemployed/underemployed "caretaker."

TARRANT COUNTY (CBSDFW.COM) – A North Texas father has been arrested for allegedly causing the death of his 5-month-old daughter.

Police say little Marjorie Ramos-Pena had multiple fractures and a serious head injury.

The Arlington Police Department began their investigation on January 28, when they were notified that Marjorie was unconscious and being transported by ambulance to Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth.

The child’s mother later told police that when she arrived home from work she noticed her daughter refused to eat and was not acting normally.

The baby remained hospitalized for days, but died from her injuries on February 4. Police arrested Marjorie’s father, Edwin Alexander Andrade-Ramos, that same day.

Andrade-Ramos is charged with Injury to a Child/Serious Bodily Injury and remains in the Arlington City Jail on a $126,000 bond.
