ALABAMA

Etowah County

Father: STEPHON LINDSAY
Victim(s): Maliyah (20 months)
Date of Death: March 2013
Father charged with killing daughter during visitation. Indicted on capital murder charges in June 2013. State conference on case scheduled for late May 2015.

Franklin County

Father: PAUL GONZALEZ
Victim(s): Andrea Gonzalez (5 years)
Date of Death: Reported missing in November 1993. Body never recovered.
Custodial father eventually pleaded guilty to manslaughter. Stepmother charged with child abuse.

Jefferson County

Father: JAMEL HUBBARD
Victim(s): Kemarrious Moore (2 years)
Date of Death: 2008
The child had been living with his father for only one week when he arrived in the emergency room. The boy was unconscious with multiple injuries that ultimately proved fatal. Father later pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of felony murder and was sentenced to 20 years in prison.

Father: CORY RICE
Victim(s): Janiya Nicole Hale (1 year)
Date of Death: July 2009
Daughter died of blunt-force trauma during overnight visitation with her father, a registered sex offender. Father later pleaded guilty to capital murder and was given life with the possibility of parole.

Madison County

Father: KRISTOPHER SPEIGNER
Victim(s): McKenzie Riegn Speigner
Date of Death: 2012
Father, step plead guilty to criminally negligent homicide in death of toddler daughter. Had been intoxicated at time of girl's death. Not clear on the father's custodial rights or what happened to the girl's mother.

Mobile County

Father: JOHN DEBLASE
Victim(s): Natalie Deblase (4 years), Chase Deblase (3 years)
Date of Death: Unclear. Bodies located in December 2010 after children hadn’t been seen for months.
Father was custodial at the time of children’s deaths. Had severed all contact with the mother who hadn't seen the children in a year. Both father, girlfriend/common law wife are charged with capital murder in the torture deaths of the children. In October 2014, finally announced that father is going to trial. Father convicted of capital murder in November 2014.

Montgomery County

Father: ALVIN JOHNSON
Victim(s): Chad (C.J.) Johnson (3 years)
Date of Death: May 2008
Father had been in “custody battle” with mother, and had secured custody just two months before the boy’s murder. Father found guilty of capital murder in November 2010 and sentenced to life in prison.

Morgan County

Father: GARY LEE WILBOURN
Victim(s): Amy Jean Wilbourn (infant)
Date of Death: December 2008
Father with either “temporary” or “permanent” custody of infant daughter charged with capital murder. In October 2010, father pleaded not guilty, with trial scheduled for August 2011. As of April 2012, a trial date had still not been set due to the death of Wilbourn's attorney. Father found guilty of manslaughter in May 2014.
