CBS 21 News has new information about a story that's been developing throughout the day about a baby death investigation out of York as the coroner is now calling this a homicide.

No arrests have been made because they can't find the father of this child, who is charged with killing his 11 month old.

York City Police say an 11-month old infant was taken to York Hospital, from a home, on South Penn Street in York around 720 p.m. Saturday night.

The baby was unresponsive and was flown to Penn State Hershey Medical Center in Dauphin County. The infant was taken off life support there on Tuesday and passed away.

Friday, the Dauphin County Coroner says the baby's death is a homicide.

“I can tell you that the opinion of this Coroner's Office is that it was a homicide, not accidental,” explained Dauphin County Coroner Graham Hetrick. “It was clearly a case of child abuse.”

The coroner would not say at this time, where the child's injuries were located around the head or brain or how long this child may have been abused.

“Number one, I’m sensitive to the fact that this is now in prosecution with another jurisdiction, with another DA other than Dauphin County and the other reason being that if you interview somebody we want to know the information and we don't want to give it out to the public,” Hetrick added.

York detectives have an arrest warrant for the father of the child, Yohan Alfredo Ramirez-Herrera. He's charged with homicide.

If you have any information on Hererra's location or where he could be, call police.
