Dad threatens to kill 3-year-old child, hurt mom during court-ordered visitation (Nevada County, California)

So what legal genius gave dad JACOB MICHAEL SIEGFRIED visitation with a 3-year-old child?

Seems Daddy was wanted for armed robbery when Mom told the police that Daddy hadn't returned their child from court-ordered visitation. Seems Daddy had also threatened to kill the child and hurt the Mom. It took a SWAT team surrounding the motel where Daddy was staying (under an assumed name) to rescue the child.

This is another example of what I have called over-the-top Daddy Drama....

We need to stop giving every father with a pulse custody/visitation on demand.

Father booked for allegedly making threats in Nevada County

A father was arrested in Nevada County after he allegedly made threats to kill his child and hurt the child's mother.
Jacob Michael Siegfried, 33, was booked into Wayne Brown Correctional Facility on suspicion of making criminal threats and violation of a court order on Monday, deputies said.

Nevada County deputies were aware of a Sunday alert that said Siegfried was wanted for suspicion of armed robbery in neighboring Placer County. Not long after learning of the BOLO -- be on the lookout in police jargon -- Nevada County authorities received a report from the mother of a three year old that stated Siegfried had failed to return their child to her after court-ordered visitation ended.

"Siegfried allegedly made threats to harm the female and kill the child if she called law enforcement," stated a Nevada County sheriff's department press release.

Deputies said Siegfried was eventually located registered under a false name at a Grass Valley motel. SWAT team members, along with hostage negotiators, set up at the motel.

He was arrested without incident when he left his room with his child. The child was safely taken into protective custody.
