Babysitting dad admits he threw infant daughter twice; baby has multiple arm fractures (Phoenix, Arizona)

Like so many of these stories, dad SAMUEL HERRERA was babysitting while Mom was working. Which he found just so "frustrating" that he THREW THIS BABY TWICE. The baby now has multiple arm fractures.

We need to do something in this country so that moms can take care of their own babies again. And put daddies like this back in the workforce doing something productive--even if it's picking up garbage. Before more babies get hurt or killed.

PHOENIX – A father was arrested after admitting to throwing his infant daughter to the ground, causing several fractures on the child’s arm.

Detectives were called by staff at Good Samaritan Hospital after Samuel Herrera, 21, took his infant daughter Audrina Herrera to the hospital with a broken arm.

He told staff he was the only one watching the girl at the time and initially said he did not know how the baby had gotten hurt. He also suggested she may have fallen from her walker.

Doctors determined the severity of the fractures were not consistent with a short fall.

Herrera was confronted by medical staff and told Audrina’s fracture was suspicious. He then allegedly admitted to becoming frustrated with the baby and picking her up twice and throwing her down.

Herrera reportedly admitted he knew that was wrong and understood he could have caused more serious injuries to his daughter. He saw swelling on Audrina’s arm but did not seek medical attention immediately nor did he tell the child’s mother about the injury.

The child’s mother was working at the time of the incident. Herrera faces two counts of child abuse.
