Dad charged with aggravated assault against 8-day-old daughter (Murfreesboro, Tennessee)
How can there be a news story about a father's assault on an 8-day-old newborn, and have ZERO mention of the person who gave birth to her scarcely one week before? What happened to Mom here? Why has she lost custody of the 1-year-old daughter to CPS? The dad is ERIC STANLEY MORROW.

MURFREESBORO — Felony child abuse charges were filed against a father accused of seriously injuring his 8-day-old daughter last month, a Rutherford County Sheriff's detective said in a news release issued to The Daily News Journal.
Father Eric Stanley Morrow, 24, of 3550 Southridge Blvd., was charged with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and aggravated child abuse, said investigating Detective Phil Brooks of the Family Crimes Unit. The investigation was launched after a complaint from the Department of Children's Services.
Morrow was accused of causing leg and throat injuries to his daughter, Brooks said. The infant was admitted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.
Commander Preble Acton said this was the second child abuse arrest by the unit in a week.
DCS took custody of the infant and her 1-year-old sister.
Brooks charged Morrow who was booked into Rutherford County Adult Detention Center where he is being held on $33,000 bond. A hearing is scheduled Thursday in General Sessions Court.
