Dad abducts 7-month-old baby after shooting man in face (San Antonio, Texas)

UNNAMED DAD is typical of a lot of paternal kidnappers. Concern or care for children has nothing to do with it. A loving daddy wouldn't be shooting somebody in the face, especially in front of children, unless somebody's life was actually in danger. No, this looks like classic control and abuse. In these kinds of cases, the child is often either killed and/or abandoned.

Child Found Safe After Shooting 4/4/10

SAN ANTONIO, Texas (AP) - San Antonio police say a 7-month-old taken by her father after he shot a man in the face has been found safe.

Police say her father was in custody on Saturday. Police say charges related to the shooting were expected.

Police had issued an Amber Alert for the girl after they said her 27-year-old father showed up at an apartment on Saturday to confront his ex-girlfriend and the victim, a 34-year-old man. An argument ensued and the suspect fired several shots, hitting the man in the face.

Police say the man who was shot was taken to the hospital in serious condition and was expected to survive.

Neighbors tell the San Antonio Express-News that the victim was shot in front of stunned onlookers, many of them children.
