Dad of brain dead toddler charged with murder (Riverside, California)

Dad ALEXANDRO BAEZA has now been charged with murder, since his 2-year-old son has been declared brain dead. Baeza is "suspected" of inflicting the head injury that ultimately killed the little boy.

RIVERSIDE, Calif.—A Moreno Valley man has been charged with murder and child abuse after his toddler son was declared brain dead at a hospital.

Riverside County sheriff's Det. Dean Spivacke said Alexandro Baeza is suspected of inflicting serious head injury on his 2-year-old.

Authorities began investigating the 26-year-old father after he brought his son to the hospital on Saturday.

Beaza was arrested Sunday on suspicion of child abuse. The Riverside County district attorney's office filed a murder charge on Wednesday.

The child has been placed on life support while doctors harvest his organs for donation.
