Dad to go on trial in shaking death of 5-month-old daughter (Hamilton, Ohio)
Dad VINCENT BLANDA is finally going to trial on charges of murder, domestic violence, and endangering children. Blanda is accused of shaking his 5-month-old daughter to death "because she would not stop crying."

HAMILTON – Jury selection begins Monday afternoon in the trial of a Butler County father accused of shaking his newborn baby to death.
Vincent Blanda, 39, of Hamilton, is scheduled to appear at 1 p.m. before Butler County Common Pleas Court Judge Patricia Oney. He faces charges of murder, domestic violence and endangering children, court records show.
Prosecutors allege he shook his 5-month-old daughter to death in March 2008 because she would not stop crying.
