Dad arrested in 3-year-old daughter's death (South West City, Missouri)
Dad STEVEN E. SCOTT has been arrested for 2nd-degree murder, abuse of a child, and endangering the welfare of a child. The autopsy is not yet complete, but it appears that his 3-year-old daughter was assaulted and died from a head injury.

South West City, MO - The father of a three-year-old girl in southwest Missouri has been arrested in her death.
The McDonald County Sheriff's Office says Steven E. Scott was arrested on a complaint of second-degree murder, abuse of a child and endangering the welfare of a child. He's being held in the McDonald County Jail on 25-thousand dollars bail.
The girl died late Tuesday night after fire and EMS arrived at a home in South West City and found the girl not breathing. Officers were called to the scene when it was learned the girl's injuries may have been inflected by an adult in the home.
The cause of death has not been determined by autopsy, but it's believed the girl was struck several times and may have suffered a head injury that may have caused her death.
An autopsy is planned for Thursday.
South West City is located on the border of Oklahoma and Missouri, about 80 miles northeast of Tulsa.
