A 27-year-old Mesa man was arrested Thursday morning after his girlfriend was hospitalized with serious head injuries, said Mesa police.
Daniel Rollins is suspected of hitting his girlfriend, her 7-year-old son and her disabled father in the early hours of the morning.
Rollins reportedly lived with all three victims at a house near 76th Street and Southern Avenue and had been drinking alcohol Wednesday night and early Thursday morning.
Police said he began arguing with his girlfriend and pushed and punched her several times inside the home.
According to police reports, Rollins eventually dragged her out into the front yard and punched her numerous times outside. She was vomiting on the scene and was transported to a Level 1 trauma center for possible serious head injuries.
Rollins also punched the 7-year-old boy in the back of the head and held the disabled father up against a wall, with his hands around the father's neck. Both received minor injuries, police reports stated.
Rollins also threw household items in the house and broke multiple pieces of furniture.
He was booked on charges of aggravated assault, criminal damage and assault.
