CPD: Father Broke Baby Son’s Arm In Two Places

COLUMBUS, Ohio—A father was charged Wednesday after authorities said he injured his 11-month-old son.

Andrew S. Marker, 24, was watching his 11-month-old son Wednesday, June 17, while the baby’s mother was at work.

Marker grabbed his son’s right arm, jerking him into the air, CPD said. The police report also said Marker felt the victim’s arm give.

The baby was scheduled for immunizations the next day. When the doctor observed him, it was apparent the arm was injured, CPD said.

X-rays showed the baby’s arm was broken in two places.

The baby was transported to Nationwide Children’s Hospital by medics and released into the care of his mother. He continues to recover.

Marker was charged with felony child endangerment Wednesday after an investigation into the allegations.
