Father-son drug charges
July 16th, 2009

A CURRUMBIN Waters man charged with trafficking large quantities of drugs, allegedly uncovered at an Ashmore workshop, has been granted bail.

John Richard Wolfswinkel, 47, appeared in Southport Magistrates Court yesterday and was granted bail on condition he report to police three days a week.

Mr Wolfswinkel has also been charged with bringing stolen goods into Queensland after police allegedly found a stolen Pontiac Trans-Am car and Harley Davidson motorcycle at the workshop.
Solicitor Cameron Browne told the court bail was not opposed and his client could be granted bail.

Mr Wolfswinkel's 20-year-old son has also been charged in relation to possessing a dangerous drug and one count each of supplying a dangerous drug, trafficking drugs, possessing utensils related to drugs and possessing property related to drugs.

It is alleged about 2kg of drugs were found at the workshop.

The father and son will appear in Southport Magistrates Court on July 28 for mention.
