Dad accused of abusing 10-week-old baby during overnight visitation (Wichita, Kansas)
UNNAMED DAD
Unasked here: Why is a 10-week-old infant involved in overnight visitation? Ridiculous. If the relationship didn't even last this long, then there was apparently never much paternal commitment from the beginning.
Was this a judge's idea? If so, who? Did Daddy have an prior history of violence that was ignored?

Wichita Police Investigate Possible Case Of Child Abuse
Tuesday, October 16, 2012
The Wichita Police Department and Exploited and Missing Child Unit are investigating a possible case of child abuse after a baby suffered a severe head injury.
A woman brought her 10-week-old to a Wichita emergency room Monday afternoon, telling hospital staff that her daughter's eyes kept rolling back in her head and that she seemed lethargic.
A CT Scan found that the child had a significant amount of brain trauma, and doctors had to perform immediate surgery. Surgery was successful, and the child is expected to survive.
Police were notified and the woman told officers that the child's father had kept the girl the previous night. She said she picked her daughter up early that morning.
Officers are still investigating and no arrests have been made.
The child is currently being treated in an intensive care unit and is under police protective custody.
