Let me get this straight. Dad JESSE ALLISON has been suspected or convicted in the death and/or abuse of three infants, and only now is he paying the price? And that's just five years in prison?

A Caldwell County man was sentenced on Tuesday to five years in prison for the 2009 reckless homicide death of his seven-month-old daughter.
Caldwell Circuit Judge C.A. Woodall followed the recommended sentence a jury made when Jesse Allison was convicted in May for the death of Ariel Allison.
Allison was charged in June 2010 with murder in Ariel's death. Allison has maintained that Ariel's death was an accident, caused by becoming trapped between her mattress and the crib rail.
Allison was convicted in 2000 in Virginia of two counts of child neglect for beating his three-month old son. That child lived.
Allison's 22-month old daughter Erin Allison died of undetermined causes in 2008 while under his care. She was found dead in her bed. No charges have been filed in Erin's death.
State Cabinet for Health and Family Services records show that Allison also was investigated by child protection workers in 2001, when the child of another woman with whom he had a relationship suffered a skull fracture. Workers did not substantiate that Allison abused that child.
