Kaeden Demus was killed by blunt force trauma on June 11, 2012, Cumberland County officials say. His father, 31-year old Evans Aine II, is charged with 2nd degree murder and felony child abuse.
Cumberland County Sheriff’s Homicide Detectives have charged a Fayetteville man with the death of his 16-month old son.
31-year old Evans Aine II, of 2716 Edwards Avenue was taken into custody this afternoon. He is charged with 2nd degree murder and felony child abuse.
Investigators say Aine struck and killed Kaeden Demus on June 11, 2012. A medical examiner’s report determined the child died as a result of blunt force trauma to the head. His body was found inside Aine’s home.
Thursday afternoon, Aine was processed at the Cumberland county Detention Center.
