Dad shoots mom to death as part of "custody dispute" (Walnut Park, California)
I wish the media would get this straight. Mom wasn't killed because of an "argument" or a "dispute" over child custody. She was killed because the authorities forced her into contact with a domestic terrorist, JULIO RAMON SOLANO, who was more than happy to use child custody as a way of maintaining contact and control over his victim. Joint custody forces mothers to stay in contact with abuser dads, putting them and the children in harm's way. When are we going to rank the basic safety and security of women and children over father's rights?

Custody Dispute Leads To Fatal Shooting Of Walnut Park Mother
July 15, 2012 11:59 PM WALNUT PARK (CBS) — A Walnut Park man has been arrested in the shooting death of his estranged wife, authorities said Monday. Julio Ramon Solano allegedly shot his wife at a home in the 2800 block of Olive Street at 8 p.m. Sunday, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Solano, 34, and his wife were reportedly arguing over custody of their children, ages 6 and 11, when the shooting occurred, officials said.
“I was watching TV and suddenly I heard three gunshots. I went outside and I saw the victim walking towards the white truck and she collapsed,” neighbor Evelyn Tinoco said.
The woman, who was shot in the upper torso, later died at a hospital. Solano reportedly fled the scene following the shooting, but later returned and was arrested by deputies around 3 a.m., officials said.
The children were not harmed in the incident and have been placed with the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services.
