Dad poisons 2-year-old daughter in botched murder-suicide (Lawrence, New York)

When I read the first news articles on this story, I figured it was a botched father-instigated murder-suicide. Turns out the authorities agree.

Still an UNNAMED DAD. I'm betting Mom just left his crazy @$$ and he wanted to control/hurt Mom in the worst possible way--by killing her little girl.

NY police: Chemical found in ailing child's bottle

LAWRENCE, N.Y. — Police on Long Island say a chemical used in fire extinguishers was found in a bottle next to a baby who's now hospitalized in critical condition.

Nassau County police also say a pesticide used on crops was found on the toddler's car seat.

The 2-year-old girl and her 45-year-old father were found in "respiratory distress" in a car parked in Lawrence on Monday.

The father was also in critical condition.

Police did not identify either victim, except to say they were from Queens.

The car was in a parking lot behind a store when police were called at about 8:30 a.m. Monday.

Haz-mat crews determined there was no risk to the community.
