Dad accused of biting 3-month-old daughter (Pensacola, Florida)

Dad VICTOR ANDERSON is charged with battery and abuse for biting his 3-month-old daughter.

Next time somebody claims (i.e. lies to you) and says that mothers abuse more, remember cases like this one. The mother has also been charged with neglect because she didn't report the injuries to the authorities--even though Daddy had held her down and threatened to kill her when she asked about the bitemarks. She claims she was afraid of such a man--which makes sense to me. Most of us would be very afraid of a creature such as this. And needless to say, only mothers are charged for these sorts of things. Dads who literally ignore an abusive mother, or take off and abandon the kids with an abusive mother, are virtually never charged. Even though very few of them receive death threats.

Double standard much?

Father accused of biting

Bond has been set at $110,000 for a Pensacola father accused of biting his 3-month-old daughter.

Victor Anderson, 23, of the 4300 block of Fairfield Drive, is being held at Escambia County Jail on battery and abuse charges. He was arrested last week.

The child had bite marks on her head, both cheeks, both legs, her feet and left shoulder, according to an arrest report.

A deputy talked to the child's mother, Sade Buford, 22, of the 4300 block of Fairfield Drive, about the bite marks. Buford told the deputy that once when she asked Anderson about the marks he held her down and threatened to kill her if she told anyone about them, according to the report.

She said on another occasion when she asked Anderson about the injuries, he punched her in the back, the report states. The deputy asked Buford if she had tried to get any help. She said no, and she was afraid of Anderson, the report states.

The deputy arrested Buford for failing to report the abuse. She was charged with neglect. Buford is free on $5,000 bond.
