Father accused of killing his 2 sons is jailed

PHOENIX (AP) - A Scottsdale father accused of killing his two young sons then trying to kill himself is out of the hospital and behind bars.

Deputies wheeled 39-year-old Andre Leteve into a Phoenix jail Monday afternoon.

He was bandaged and in a wheelchair after police say he shot himself in the face.

Leteve is facing two counts of murder in the deaths of his young sons, ages 1 and 5.

On March 31, police say they received a 911 call from the residence where a man said he had just shot his child. Officers arrived in the 7600 block of East Cactus Wren and forced entry. Once inside, they found two small children dead from apparent gunshot wounds.

Police say Leteve was found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was transported to a Scottsdale hospital.
