Aventura Police said Moreno was the suspect all along, and at this point, he remains the only suspect. Friday morning, police found Moreno shot dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
Police discovered Moreno's body inside a vehicle in the parking lot behind the Sunny Isles Beach Public Library. Police released alleged domestic violence documents which occurred in the past between Moreno and the victim's mother. According to a police report from August 2009, Moreno took out a dumbbell and threatened to hit his ex-girlfriend with the dumbbell and then struck her with it. At the time, she was eight months pregnant.
