Dad sentenced to life in prison for murder of wife, daughter; son survived attack (Glendale, Arizona)

Dad MICHAEL BRIAN MILLER has been sentenced to life in prison (plus 10 years) for the murder of his wife and 10-year-old daughter. The 4-year-son was critically injured in the knife attack, but survived.

GLENDALE – A man who killed his wife and daughter and tried to kill his son has been sentenced.

Michael Brian Miller, 29, was sentenced to life in prison plus an additional 10 years.

The probable cause statement filed by Glendale police says Miller called 911 on May 30 of this year and stated he had just murdered his family with a knife.

When officers arrived at the scene, Miller admitted to attacking his wife, his 10-year-old daughter and his 4-year-old son. His son was critically injured and was the sole survivor of the attack.

County Attorney Andrew Thomas says, “This sentence brings to a close a tragic and deadly case of domestic violence.”

Miller pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree murder and one count of attempted first-degree murder on October 26. He was sentenced on Thursday to two natural life sentences plus another 10.5 years.
