Dad arrested for abusing 3-month-old daughter; baby was "at the home of her father" at the time of the abuse (Indianapolis, Indiana)

Dad MICHAEL JEREMY GIBBS has been arrested for the abuse of his 3-month-old infant daughter, who is being treated for multiple fractures. The abuse took place while the baby was "at the home of her father," which suggests that the baby's parents do not live together. It also suggests that some sort of visitation arrangement was in play--whether it was court-ordered or not is not specified.

Regardless of the legal involvement, I will say it again: Babies do not need visitation with fathers, especially with fathers who are not committed to the mother, to the creation of a family, or to the baby's welfare. Especially with young dads with no experience or interest in the care of babies and toddlers.
