Dad pleads guilty to killing 2 daughters (Karachi, Pakistan)

Dad MUHAMMAD SHEHZAD has pleaded guilty to killing his two daughters, a 1 1/2 year-year old and an 8-month old. He begged for the death penalty--something you don't see from many killers, fathers or otherwise, in the U.S.

Killer father remanded to judicial custody till 27th

KARACHI: Muhammad Shehzad, who killed his two minor daughters, was remanded to judicial custody after he confessed to his crime before a judicial magistrate, east.

The accused, who was produced before judicial magistrate Kamran Ata Soomro, told the court that he was frequently abused by his in-laws, and out of rage, he killed his two daughters one-and-a-half-year old Kushi Fatima and eight-month old Suman Fatima. The accused had a fight with his estranged wife Aliya, a night before the gory incident. He begged for the death penalty for his crime.

The magistrate, after recording the statement of the accused, ordered to send him to jail.

Accused in Jeddah heroin case moves for bail: Afraz Hussain , one of the accused in the Jeddah heroin smuggling case, moved the Special Court for Control of Narcotics Substances (CNS) for bail here on Tuesday.Moving the bail application, Akhtar Jamal advocate, counsel for the applicant, submitted that the accused has no nexus with the alleged crime, nor was the heroin powder recovered from his possession. He also submitted that his client was roped in only for being the son of the main accused Syed Sarwat Hussain and Shafia.

The trial court judge after hearing initial arguments issued notice to the special public prosecutor for ANF, for July 16.
