Dad demands custody of 3-month-old son, kills him when Mom refuses (Durban, South Africa)
UNNAMED DAD. Once again, we see that for violent fathers, abuse and control of the mother is the primary motivation in their desire for custody, not any love for the child or desire to be a parent.

Durban - A 26-year-old father has been arrested for allegedly killing his 3-month-old baby son, KwaZulu-Natal police said on Thursday.
Spokesman, Major Thulani Zwane, said police received a tip-off and he was arrested on Wednesday night.
He was expected to appear in court on Friday.
On Tuesday he had arrived at the mother’s house in Ingwavuma in the KwaMoyana reserve, and demanded to take the baby home with him.
“The mother refused and he became angry, took the child by force and threw her on the floor. The child sustained head injuries and was taken to hospital in critical condition,” Zwane said. He died in hospital.
Earlier this week, a Western Cape father was found guilty of murdering his 3-month-old baby daughter.
Twenty-five-year-old Eugene Plaatjies was subsequently convicted in the Western Cape High Court of child abuse and assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm.
Sentencing proceedings in the case have been set down to start on June 1.

Primary caregiver dad gets 30 years for "absolute torture" of infant daughter (Milwaukee County, Wisconsin)
I have now posted over 10,000 stores about fathers and child abuse. Not much gets to me anymore. But this literally churns my stomach. Dad is identified as COREY BURNS.

Father gets 30 years for 'absolute torture' of baby girl
By Ashley Luthern of the Journal Sentinel June 25, 2015
When a 10-month-old baby girl arrived at Children's Hospital last fall, her thighs were wasting away.
The front of her legs were covered with scalding burns, injuries so painful she simply stopped moving.
She had burns inside her mouth. Her neck and body were covered with bite marks and bruises. She had severe brain injuries, the kind that come from being violently shaken, slammed down or thrown.
#And the burn on her back matched the pattern of a charcoal grill in her parents' kitchen.
On Thursday, her father, Corey Burns, was sentenced to just over 30 years in prison for "cruelty and torture," as the case was described in a medical report.
"There are no words that encompass the level of depravity and the inhumanity that was shown to this child over a short period of time," Assistant District Attorney Matthew Torbenson said.
The baby and her mother, Chazzidy White, moved to Wisconsin from Texas in late October. Within days, White had a job and Burns became the child's main caregiver.
On Nov. 5, White called from work to check on the baby. Burns asked her to hurry home, saying their daughter was burned in bathwater. The explanation wasn't plausible, investigators say, because the baby was not burned on her bottom or back of her legs. She was burned only on the front, as if she was dipped in the scalding liquid.
White later told police her daughter's legs looked "like she was skinned."
White wanted to take her to the doctors, but Burns talked her out of it, saying child welfare officials would get involved, according to court documents. A week later, White noticed her daughter had circles on her neck, scratches on her face and bruises on her chin. The baby became lethargic.
On the morning of Nov. 22, White saw a grate burn and bruises on her daughter's back. Burns claimed the baby brushed against a metal heating vent. The burn pattern did not match the vent, but did resemble the markings of a charcoal grill in the kitchen.
"You took a child who was already severely burned over her legs, her lips, who has bite marks and all of these injuries to her body, who is no longer sitting up, who is not making eye contact ... and is basically laying there," Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Rebecca Dallet said.
"And you put her on a grill."
When the baby's back burns were discovered, White took the child to the hospital, where doctors found burns on 15% of her body. She and Burns were arrested. White, 22, pleaded guilty to child neglect and failing to prevent child abuse. She was sentenced in April to two years in prison and five years of extended supervision.
Burns, 21, pleaded guilty to three felonies. Four others were dismissed. When asked if he had anything to say, Burns cleared his throat before a brief statement.
"I apologize for my actions," he said. "I take full responsibility for my actions. And that's it, judge."
Dallet acknowledged Burns had a troubled life and had himself suffered horrific abuse but said nothing explains his actions, which have scarred his daughter for life.
"This was torture, absolute torture of your daughter, and it went on for many, many days," she said. "I see a lot of child abuse cases in here. I see a lot of cases of burns. I have never seen anything like this."

Prosecutors charge father in death of Tacoma toddler

A father imprisoned for beating his son was charged with second-degree murder Friday because the boy died more than a year after he was injured.
Joshua Sullivan Jr. was seven days old in 2013 when he was brought to the hospital with severe head trauma and internal bleeding.
Employees at Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital called Tacoma police May 23, 2013, to report possible child abuse.
Doctors were concerned about bruising on the newborn’s mouth, cheekbone, back and left inner ear. He also was bleeding from his lip and umbilical cord, records show.
His parents denied knowing what happened to the boy. Officers noted the father, Joshua Sullivan, showed no emotion. Sullivan “eventually admitted that he did get frustrated with the baby,” according to court documents.
Child Protective Services took Joshua and the mother’s two other children and placed them with foster families.
In February 2014, Sullivan pleaded guilty to first-degree child assault and was sentenced to 16 years and six months in prison.
Seven months later, Joshua died. A medical examiner ruled the toddler’s death a homicide caused by blunt force trauma to the head months earlier.
“The injuries were determined to be the result of apparent shaking,” according to charging papers.
Pneumonia also contributed to his death.
Pierce County prosecutors have charged Sullivan, now 20, with second-degree murder in the case and requested he be transferred from a corrections center to face the new charge.
An arraignment date has not been set.

Dad wanted on capital murder charges in death of 17-month-old daughter turns himself in (Jackson, Mississippi)
Notice the vagueness which is typical in this kind of news article. The child was "with her father" when the "incident occurred." Does this mean she was killed in a custody/visitation situation? There is no way of knowing. This one reason why it is so hard to quantify the number of children harmed in custody/visitation situations.
Dad is identified as RICKY DAVIS.

JACKSON, Miss. - The dad wanted for capital murder in the death of his 17-month-old daughter is now in custody.
Police said 20-year-old Ricky Davis turned himself in.
The child, Ra'Kayla Silman, was rushed to the hospital Saturday to be treated for head trauma. During the preliminary investigation, police were told that the child had fallen and hurt herself.
The child was with her father, Davis, when the incident occurred, police said.
Medical doctors said Ra'Kayla's injures were not consistent with a fall and that it did not appear to be accidental.
Ra'Kayla died from her injures on Tuesday.
Davis is waiting for his court hearing.

Queens man arrested for assaulting infant son will face upgraded charge after baby dies
Nevin Janduher died of severe head injuries he suffered while in care of his father, Jagsheer Singh.

Father of infant will face upgraded criminal charges in beating death of son.
A Queens father who was arrested last weekend for allegedly assaulting his 4-month-old son will soon face an upgraded criminal charge after the child died hours before Christmas.
Nevin Janduher died of severe head injuries Wednesday afternoon at Cohen’s Children’s Hospital, a facility that shares a campus in New Hyde Park with Long Island Jewish Medical Center, where the boy’s mother works as a radiologist. The NYPD announced the child’s death Thursday.
The boy suffered the injuries last Friday while in the care of his father, Jagsheer Singh, 28, police said. Singh’s wife, Dr. Reena Malhotra, was at work that day. She returned to the couple’s Bayside home early Saturday and went to sleep without checking on the baby, prosecutors said. Nevin appeared to be fine at 7 a.m. Saturday, when Singh made him a bottle, according to statements he allegedly made, prosecutors said. The father then gave the boy a bath, and during that process the boy fell off a changing table that was about 4 feet off the floor, Singh said. Singh did not tell his wife about the fall, prosecutors said.
At 8 a.m., Singh noticed the child was unresponsive, and he then awakened his wife and called 911, according to his statement.
But doctors determined the baby “suffered multiple severe skull fractures, widespread brain injury resulting from lack of oxygen and retinal hemorrhages,” prosecutors have said. They argued the trauma was inconsistent with a fall.
Singh was arraigned Monday on charges of first-degree assault and child endangerment. He was jailed in lieu of $200,000 bail. In a news release Monday, Queens District Attorney Richard Brown vowed charges would be upgraded against Singh if Nevin died. On Thursday night, a spokeswoman from Brown’s office said upgraded charges would await results of an autopsy performed by the medical examiner. Singh is due in court Jan. 5.
Nevin’s fate appears to mirror the deaths this fall of Jeida Torres, 3, and Thaiya Spruill-Smith, 2, in Brooklyn, and Poseidon Quinones, 3, of the Bronx. The girls died in separate incidents, allegedly at the hands of abusive step-fathers. Poseidon’s step-grandfather was arrested a month ago and charged with beating him to death.

Dad pleads guilty to abusing 3-week-old daughter; baby has "catastrophic injuries" (Canberra, Australia)

Baby shaken by father suffered 'catastrophic injuries', court hears
Date October 31, 2014
Megan Gorrey
Reporter at The Canberra Times
The maternal grandmother of a baby who suffered "catastrophic" brain injuries after her father shook her on two occasions has broken down as she told a court the toddler could not crawl or feed herself and faced a lifetime of depending on others.
The girl's father, 23, pleaded not guilty to recklessly inflicting grievous bodily harm on the baby in December 2010 and a trial was set to start in the ACT Supreme Court in October.
But it did not go ahead after the Canberra man instead pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of negligently causing grievous bodily harm.
The father was left alone with the three-week-old girl in December 2010 while the mother went to the shops, court documents said.
The baby's mother grew concerned about her daughter when she returned home and found she was still, pale and cold. She noticed she was crying but not opening her eyes.
The child was rushed to hospital, where she had multiple seizures.
Medical tests showed the baby suffered a lack of oxygen to her brain and parts of the tissue had died.
She was airlifted to a Sydney hospital.
Her symptoms suggested the baby had suffered significant acceleration injury, which was consistent with being shaken.
In January 2011, the offender admitted to family he had shaken his daughter on two occasions when he became frustrated by her crying.
He later made further admissions to shaking the baby in text messages with the baby's mother and an unknown person, and said he was ashamed of what happened, court documents said.
During a committal hearing earlier this year, a doctor described the baby's brain injury as "catastrophic" and said there had been further damage and continued decay to the brain.
He said the girl was likely severely disabled as a result of the injury.
The baby's maternal grandmother sobbed as she read a victim impact system in the ACT Supreme Court on Friday.
She said her daughter had been "stressed and anxious" when the baby fell ill and before she later learned the father shook her.
"That was the moment my girl's world fell apart," she said. "I found her hysterically crying in the [hospital] ward, unable to tell me what happened.
"When she did, the horror was inexplicable."
The woman said the initial prognosis for the baby was "extremely bleak" and doctors could not fully predict the extent of her injuries.
She said her granddaughter, now three years old, could not feed, dress, wash or bathe herself.
Her vocabulary was limited and she couldn't crawl, stand or walk.
"She will be forever and totally dependant on others for all acts of daily living."
The woman said her daughter had felt the physical, mental, emotional and financial pressures of having to look after the girl's "constant and consistent daily needs".
The toddler was unlikely to ever get married, have a job, or make a sandwich, her grandmother said.
She said her daughter had been "sentenced to a lifetime of caring for a child with a disability and all that entails", while the child faced "a lifetime of depending on others".
"Every day she is reminded of the trauma of what happened and of what might have been," she said. "It will never end for her."
The woman said the offender might not have had a legal obligation to confess he shook the baby, but he had a moral responsibility.
"The right thing to do would have been to have admitted it at the time," she said.
Defence witness Kenneth Byrne, a clinical psychologist, told the court the man had an intellectual impairment and suffered from a major affective disorder.
Dr Byrne said the man told him he felt guilty about what happened and he had "to live with that every day".
"He said to me 'In the end it's not good enough. I could have rung someone, I could have called my mum. It was the wrong thing to do.'"
He said those thoughts were impressive for someone with the offender's mental capacity.
"I re-established in my own mind his view of contrition over what happened," Dr Byrne said.
Chief Justice Helen Murrell ordered a report on the child's medical condition be prepared ahead of a court appearance next month.
She will hand down her sentence on November 14.

Maryville man indicted on child abuse charges after April incident

MARYVILLE (WATE) - A Blount County man was indicted by a grand jury this month for an alleged child abuse incident that happened in April involving a 4-month-old girl. Kenneth Ray Sellers, 22, was indicted by a grand jury on October 6.
According to a Maryville Police Department incident report, they were notified by the Department of Children's Services on April 10 that the girl was taken to Children's Hospital after a possible child abuse incident that happened at 218 Atchley Apartments on April 8.
Officers spoke with a DCS worker who said the child had bruises on both thighs, a fresh cerebral hematoma on the right side of her head, an old cerebral hematoma on the left side of her head and a possible broken left arm.
There were also broken blood vessels on her face and forehead.
The girl's mother said she had asked the girl's father Kenneth Sellers how the child was injured. He said he had held the girl's legs too tight and that he had went to the bathroom. He said while he was away, the girl fell out of her bouncy seat.
Neighbors who live in the same apartment complex tell 6 News they're simply shocked.
"People say one thing but you never know what's going on. You really don't," said neighbor Eli Steele.
"It really broke my heart. You're supposed to soothe them, keep them calm, talk to them, sing to them, not abuse them," added neighbor Tracey Wayne.
The girl's mother, who did not want to be interviewed on camera, says her daughter is doing much better, starting to take her first steps, and is happy and healthy.
The mother added that she's disappointed this incident happened because parents are supposed to be able to trust one another.
Police questioned Sellers, then arrested and charged him. Sellers is still being held on $150,000 bond.

Dad convicted of manslaughter in death of 2-month-old son (Everett, Washington)
Yet another case where Mom was forced back to work before the baby was even 3-months-old, and a short-tempered father with no nurturing skills was drafted to do "caretaking" in her place.
All of this profoundly opposed to the way humans and mammals have evolved. So the results are deadly and predictable. It is not an anomaly that fathers are the majority of perpetrators in shaken baby deaths. We need decent maternity leaves for moms NOW.
Dad is identified as BRIAN PEREZ REYES.

Father convicted in baby's shaking death

EVERETT — Daniel Levi Perez Reyes died in his mother's arms. He was a healthy, 2-month-old boy when he was left with his father on June 27, 2013, while his mother went to work. The next morning Daniel was brought to a hospital.
He wasn't breathing and didn't have a pulse. Doctors revived him but Daniel showed no signs of brain activity. He was removed from life support the next day.
Doctors suspected the worst. An autopsy confirmed the violence. The 13-pound baby had been violently shaken, causing injuries to the boy's brain, neck and the nerves to his diaphragm.
On Monday, a Snohomish County judge convicted the child's father of first-degree manslaughter. The evidence showed that Brian Perez Reyes was told multiple times that he was too rough with the child, Superior Court Judge Michael Downes said. Perez Reyes' reckless actions caused his son's death, the judge concluded.
Downes also ruled that Daniel's age made him a particularly vulnerable victim.
“This was an infant child, wholly helpless,” the judge said.
That means the defendant could face a much lengthier prison stay when he is sentenced next month. Prosecutors are expected to ask that Perez Reyes be sentenced to 14 years in prison.
Last month, in an unusual move, Perez Reyes, 24, agreed to skip a jury trial and asked Downes to render a verdict after reviewing the investigation.

Dad pleads no contest to murder of 3-year-old son; despite previous allegations of child abuse, dad still praised as "kind" and "loving" (Las Vegas, Nevada)
If there was a mother with a long history of child abuse allegations involving multiple fractures and unexplained SIDS death WHO then pleaded no contest to the murder of yet another child after apparently lying about the assault, she would be condemned as an evil monster not fit to live. But given the complete double standard, this POS is praised as "kind" and "loving." Kind and loving how? If this is how a "special person" behaves, I'll stick to non-special people, thanks.
And just why does this guy deserve mercy after all this?

Despite mother’s plea, man sent to prison in death of son
Jonathan Quisano, the 27-year-old father who pleaded no contest on murder charges in the death of his toddler son was sentenced to 10 to 30 years on Tuesday, October 7, 2014.
By DAVID FERRARA
LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL
A 27-year-old Las Vegas father was sentenced to between 10 and 30 years in prison Tuesday in the death of his toddler son, despite a plea from the boy’s mother to keep her husband out of prison.
Jonathan Quisano, who moved to the valley from Hawaii shortly before his son died, pleaded guilty in June to voluntary manslaughter and child abuse neglect or endangerment with substantial bodily harm.
Quisano faced murder charges in June 2013 after his 3-year-old son, Khayden Quisano, died at University Medical Center.
Khayden had been hospitalized after his mother called police to say the child had fallen in a northwest Las Vegas home while under Quisano’s care.
The father told police Khayden fell while playing on the back of a sofa, but authorities said the boy suffered head and internal injuries too severe to have been caused by a fall.
Chief Deputy District Attorney Michael Staudaher said Khayden suffered “very violent” and “very significant” injuries.
At a sentencing hearing Tuesday, Quisano’s wife, Christina Rodrigues, called him a “kind, loving, caring, responsible father.”
She asked District Judge Valerie Adair to offer Quisano a chance at probation, saying she never witnessed Quisano abuse the boy.
“I not only lost one, but two very special people who I love dearly,” Rodrigues said. “Just don’t take him away forever.”
Staudaher said the death wasn’t the first time Quisano had been suspected of abusing Khayden. In 2010, while the family lived in Hawaii, doctors became concerned after noticing fractures on Khayden’s ribs and legs, Staudaher said.
Social workers in Hawaii kept track of Quisano for two years before the family moved to Las Vegas, Staudaher told the judge.
About two years before that, another of Quisano’s children suffered from sudden infant death syndrome at 3 months old, according to the prosecutor.
Deputy Public Defender Nancy Lemcke also argued for probation. A coroner had ruled the manner of Khayden’s death undetermined, she said.
“Not for one single secondary moment did he intend to hurt or certainly kill his own child,” Lemcke said. “If you believe that he inflicted these injuries, it’s an issue of succumbing to a single momentary lapse of patience. … Certainly if nothing else, everybody here agrees that what happened was not some preconceived plan on the part of Mr. Quisano, it wasn’t part of some systemic ongoing torture or abuse.”
Quisano told the judge he was “sorry” and would “do anything possible to get my life back on track.”
In handing down the sentence, Adair pointed to the allegations of previous abuse.
That investigation “if nothing else, put this defendant on notice as to what he should do,” Adair said. “If anything, he should have been more careful with this child than he was.”
The judge gave Quisano credit for 488 days served in the Clark County Detention Center, meaning he would first be eligible for parole in less than nine years.
And just why does this guy deserve mercy after all this?

A father is in jail and his daughter in the hospital after Lexington Police say he shook the four-month-old. Darnell Tagaloa is charged with criminal abuse.
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A father is in jail and his daughter in the hospital after Lexington Police say he shook the four-month-old. It's a disturbing case that a Lexington child care center says didn't have to happen.
"We offer free child care," said Jenny Norman, the child care director at The Nest in Lexington. "So if you need a break, all you have to do is just call us and no matter what we are going to make spots."
After hearing about this case involving Darnell Tagaloa, 27, of Lexington and his four-month-old daughter, The Nest is pushing parents to get help from them. An arrest citation states he shook his baby at his home on Kenesaw Drive on Sunday because she wouldn't stop crying.
"Your heart breaks a little for this little one because we want people to know that we're here to help in those situations," said Norman.
That infant is now suffering with severe head injuries, and the father is in jail with a first degree criminal abuse charge.
"Children are resilient to a point, but it's just so hard," said Norman. "We see it day in and day out. It affects the way they play. It affects the way they sleep. It affects they're learning. It's just a constant struggle."
This center even has a temporary program that's free of charge where you can drop off your kids if you feel overwhelmed and need some weight off your shoulders.
"Every time we see it or we have to get involved in it, it just breaks our hearts," said Norman. "Children are the most precious gifts that we have."
So their number one mission at The Nest is to prevent child abuse by being proactive and hopefully stopping cases like this from happening.
As far as we know, that baby is still being treated at UK Hospital.
Tagaloa pleaded not guilty in court on Thursday. His preliminary hearing is set for October 2.

Hearing set for alleged child killer
Louisiana 5:01 p.m. CDT August 23, 2014
Kenneth Willis, 30, is accused of murdering his one-month-old son in 2007 and of severely injuring another son, who was 3 months old at the time, in 2012.
The son who was killed, Zamion Willis, died from head injuries and multiple fractures, but at the time of his death there wasn’t enough evidence for prosecutors to charge his father.
After a daycare worker discovered suspicious injuries on Willis’s other son in 2012, officers noted the child seemed lethargic at the family’s home in the 6100 block of Tierra Drive. And when additional evidence was gathered linking Willis to the 2007 killing, he was charged with first degree murder for the death of Zamion and second-degree cruelty in the case of the other child.
UPDATE: At a hearing set for 2 p.m. Tuesday in front of Judge O’Callaghan in Caddo District court, Willis’s attorneys will argue their motion for continuance. The date of the jury trial, which had been set for last November, is now Oct. 13.

Police arrest father in baby's death
Associated Press 9:02 a.m. CDT August 7, 2014
Father charged with murder and aggravated abuse in the death of 3-month-old son.
SEQUATCHIE, Tenn. (AP) — Police have arrested the father of a 3-month-old Marion County boy who died in 2012.
The Chattanooga Times Free Press (http://bit.ly/1mpjl6z ) reports Chris Russell was taken into custody on Wednesday in Whitfield County on a fugitive from justice warrant stemming from the child's death.
Marion County Sheriff Ronnie "Bo" Burnett told the newspaper the warrant stemmed from a Marion County grand jury indictment that charges Russell with murder and aggravated abuse in the death of Colin Russell.
An autopsy report for the infant listed the cause of death as homicide.

Father smashes baby girl to death

ISLAMABAD - A 5-month-old girl was allegedly smashed to death by her father in the middle of heated parental quarrel here, reported a private TV channel on Tuesday.
“On the face of it the infant succumbed to a seething tiff between two spouses,” sources told media. The tragic news left everyone aghast in the locality. “The commotion the brawling couple kicked up unsettled the whole neighbourhood while their baby daughter lay on the bed watching her parents tear each other apart in muted horror,” sources quoted a neighbour as saying.
According to police, the husband lost his nerve and allegedly killed the infant by crashing her to the concrete floor. "The child died of severe head injuries after being smashed against a hard surface," a police official said.
On the other hand, the accused, speaking from behind the bars of the lockup, protested his innocence. “I swear I did not dump her on the floor, she just fell down accidentally. I can’t be sorrier. Please forgive me.” a remorseful father of the deceased baby pleaded.
Further investigation is underway.

A father attacked his baby son in hospital while the little boy was being treated for injuries he had inflicted in a previous violent outburst, it has been revealed.
The child was taken to Rotherham District Hospital in South Yorkshire when he was less than three weeks old where medical staff found he had suffered severe head injuries and ‘forceful shaking’.
While he was still being treated for his injuries his father attacked him again - leaving him with extensive bruising.
Police are investigating the incident which took place in January, but no arrests have been made.
The shocking details of the father’s violence against the child emerged as a family judge banned him from seeing his son - saying the baby would be in ‘real danger’ if any further contact took place.
Judge Annabel Carr QC, sitting at Sheffield Family Court, said the injuries suffered by the boy could only have been caused by the father and it was ‘not possible’ they were accidental.
After the initial outburst, the child had been unresponsive for about an hour, but the father did not take him to hospital - saying he didn’t know where it was - and waited for the baby’s mother to return home.
The baby was initially treated for an infection, but scans revealed bleeding on the brain and social workers became involved after doctors suspected the infant had been assaulted.
While he was still in hospital recovering from those injuries, the baby suffered further harm.
The father called in a duty nurse as he was changing his son’s nappy and claimed he had ‘tripped’ on the wheel of a cot and dropped the baby face down on the bed.
After demonstrating to the nurse how he had fallen, the father said: 'I cannot believe this has happened'.
The judge said doctors were ‘deeply suspicious’ of both sets of injuries and, following extensive tests which ruled out natural causes, Rotherham Borough Council launched care proceedings.
The council did not take any issue with the mother’s care and accepted she is a ‘concerned and loving parent’ who is capable of caring for the baby.
During the family court hearing, the father’s version of events was ruled out by doctors, who said it was simply ‘not possible’.
Medical staff also concluded that both sets of injuries could not have been caused by anything other than deliberately inflicted trauma.
Judge Carr said the father’s evidence was ‘neither credible nor reliable’, adding that his failure to alert the mother sooner when the baby first fell ill was an attempt to cover up the harm the child had suffered at his hands.
She said: 'There can be no other explanation as only the father was present and therefore only he knows what happened.
'He left it to the mother and grandfather to raise their own concerns and to seek help for the baby, unaided by him.
'The only explanation is that these were inflicted injuries, as all the medical evidence now supports.'
She found that both sets of injuries could only have been caused by the father and ordered that he should have no contact with the baby.
The judge said: 'Those findings having been made, it makes any contact - supervised or otherwise - in the immediate future a very real risk and danger for the child.
'I have to bear in mind that, on the second occasion, this baby was in a place of safety yet came to be injured by severe bruising over his head and body, the explanation given by the father simply not being a possibility.
'As such, for the time being, there can be no safe contact between this child and the father.'
