Dad charged with torture, assault; 6-year-old son in critical condition (Saginaw, Michigan)
Dad is identified as AKI DILLARD. No mention of a mother in the home, and the children have been put in foster care. Single dad?

Father Arrested In Saginaw Child Abuse Case
A six year old boy is in critical condition at a Saginaw area hospital after being found unresponsive at a home in the 1800 block of Ames in Saginaw just before 12:55 Thursday afternoon. Saginaw Police determined the child appeared to have burns on his body and trauma to his head.
After further investigation, the Major Crimes Unit consisting of detectives from the State Police and Saginaw Police Departments identified a person of interest.
The 39-year-old Saginaw man who's the boy's father was interviewed before being arrested. Aki Dillard is accused of first degree child abuse, torture and assault with intent to murder and could be arraigned Monday in Saginaw County District Court.
Authorities say other children in the home have been moved into temporary foster care and the investigation is continuing.
