Dad accused of breaking bones of 2-month-old daughter (Kansas City, Missouri)

Another case where Mom had to work, while Dad played at caretaker. And once again, we have a worthless sperm donor who got "frustrated" and bashed the baby.

Too bad mothers don't have decent paid maternity leaves in this country. Young males as a general rule make bad baby caretakers. They don't have the patience or nurturing skills, and they have too much strength they don't know how to handle.

Dad is identified as TODDGRIC T. ROSS.

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) - A Kansas City father is accused of breaking his 2-month-old daughter's leg and rib.

Toddgric T. Ross, 20, of Kansas City was charged Friday with child abuse.

According to court records, the baby's mother brought her to the emergency room at Children's Mercy Hospital on Wednesday night. In addition to the broken bones, the baby had bruising around her left eye.

Ross was arrested at the hospital after the baby's injuries were discovered.

The baby's mother told police that she left the baby, known as A.H., in the care of her father when she went to work. She said when she came home that Ross showed her swelling in the baby's leg. She said the baby reacted when the leg was touched and had facial bruising. The couple along with the baby's maternal grandmother took the child to the hospital.

According to court records, the baby's mother said, "How much can you get for this?" when an officer commented on the baby's leg being in a cast and the bruising and scratch marks on her face.

Ross told detectives that he squeezed the baby because she wouldn't go to sleep and later noticed she was "breathing funny," according to court records. But he said he did not "mess" with the baby's head or leg.

He also indicated that he thought the baby's mother had put the baby in a carrier and her leg got stuck. He said that's when the injuries could have occurred, according to court records. He allegedly was frustrated that the baby wouldn't sleep when he was trying to sleep, and later expressed remorse for hurting the baby, according to court records.

Prosecutors have requested a bond of $50,000.
