4-Year-Old's Death Ruled A Homicide, Father Arrested

REYNOLDSBURG, Ohio -- The Reynoldsburg Division of Police is investigating the suspicious death of a 4-year-old child on July 12, 2012 as a homicide.

Officers and medic personnel were called to a home in the 1200 block of Baytree Court on a report of a child not breathing.

The 4-year-old child was transported to Nationwide Children’s Hospital to be treated. The child later died at the hospital, according to police.

The death of the child was ruled a homicide by the Franklin County Coroner.

The father of the child, Alfred A. Hill, was arrested and charged with one count of murder, one count of felonious assault, two counts of endangering children, and one count of involuntary manslaughter on January 17.

He is currently being held at the Franklin County Jail.
