Dad who left toddler son in freezing casino parking lot won't face charges (Calgary, Alberta, Canada)
UNNAMED DAD, who left his 21-month-old son alone in a freezing van while Daddy gambled at a casino, will not be facing a criminal charge of child abandonment. How nice for Daddy.
INVISIBLE MOTHER ALERT. Where was Mom while all of this was going on?

CALGARY - A man who left his toddler son in a freezing van while he gambled in a Calgary casino will not face a criminal charge of child abandonment.
A court has withdrawn the charge because the man had already pleaded guilty to a lesser count under Alberta's Child Youth and Family Enhancement Act.
The father, who can't be named to protect his son's identity, received a one-year conditional sentence.
Court heard that he gambled in March 2009 while the temperature outside was minus 9 C.
Firefighters got into his locked vehicle and removed the 21-month-old boy.
Emergency services were called when a casino patron heard a child crying and called for help. (CHQR)
