Police: Dad murdered pregnant mom, kidnapped their 1-year-old son (San Bernadino, California)

UNNAMED DAD has been arrested for "allegedly" killing his pregnant girlfriend and then kidnapping their 1-year-old son. Notice how the press downplays the cold-blooded slaughter of a pregnant mother by calling it "a dispute." The 1-year-old has been recovered and is now in the custody of CPS.

Police: Man Killed Pregnant Girlfriend, Kidnapped Their Young Son

SAN BERNARDINO -- A man was under arrest Wednesday for allegedly killing his pregnant girlfriend at her home in San Bernardino and then kidnapping their 1-year-old son.

A San Bernardino City Unified School Police officer was flagged down at 2:18 p.m. near Monterey Elementary School and told about a domestic disturbance at a home in the 24000 block of Monterey Avenue.

Inside, police found a pregnant woman, about 20 years old, with severe injuries.

Neighbors told police they saw the suspect leave the house with a small boy and board a city transit bus, said sheriff's spokeswoman Jodi Miller.

Authorities stopped the bus near Fourth Street and Arrowhead Avenue in downtown San Bernardino, and arrested the suspect, said to be 23 years old.

Neither the victim nor the suspect has been identified.

There had apparently been a dispute between the couple, but authorities have not released any details about how the woman died.

The baby is now in the custody of Child Protective Services.
