Dad charged in death of 3-month-old son (Ottawa, Ontario, Canada)
UNNAMED DAD will apparently face additional charges now that his 3-month-old son has died. Dad is already charged with aggravated assault and a few other things. Oh, and the same pere charmant has been charged with domestic assault against the baby's mother. Quelle surprise.

OTTAWA — The autopsy of a three-month-old boy who died this week in an Ottawa hospital may lead to additional charges against his 21-year-old father, Sudbury police say.
The child was injured in an alleged domestic incident late last week in Chelmsford, Ont., police said. He was taken to the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario in critical condition.
The boy was pronounced dead at 7 p.m. Wednesday, police said.
Police were treating the death as suspicious pending autopsy results. If the death is ruled a homicide, it would be Sudbury's first of the year, said Staff Sgt. Rick Waugh. The investigation began Saturday.
Preliminary results were expected late Friday, but Waugh said they would likely not be released.
Sudbury police had already charged the 21-year-old man with aggravated assault, criminal negligence causing bodily harm and failing to provide the necessities of life in connection with the infant's injuries. Details of the injuries were not released.
He had also been charged with domestic assault in connection with an incident with his common-law wife, police said.
Waugh said the man was still in police custody Friday. His name was not released.
Waugh would not rule out charges against the man's partner, but said police do not consider her a suspect.
Ottawa police said they would not be playing a role in the Sudbury police investigation.
Sudbury had four homicides in 2009, Waugh said.
