SAUK RAPIDS — Sauk Rapids police are looking for a man who they say stabbed his son during a fight late Tuesday.
The 16-year-old son of Walter Maurice Harris, 53, was treated and released from St. Cloud Hospital. The teen was injured during an incident in the 300 block of Third Avenue North, Sauk Rapids Police Chief Perry Beise said.
Police were called there about 11:15 p.m. after Harris was involved in a domestic dispute with the mother of the 16-year-old son. Harris then fought with his son, Beise said, and stabbed the boy with a paring knife.
Harris fled before police arrived.
Harris is 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighs 190-200 pounds with an athletic build, according to police. He has brown skin and left the home wearing a blue jean jacket with green sleeves.
Anyone with information about Harris’s location can call Sauk Rapids police at 251-9451.
