Dad charged with incest, rape of pregnant 12-year-old daughter (Charlotte, North Carolina)

Can't say I'm surprised. When I saw earlier accounts of UNNAMED DAD taking off with a pregnant 12-year-0ld daughter, rape and incest seemed the most likely explanation.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A North Carolina father, accused of abducting two of his daughters, has been charged with rape and incest, authorities said.

The 40-year-old man sparked a nationwide Amber Alert when police said he took his adopted daughters to Tennessee in late September. The oldest daughter is 12-years-old and eight months pregnant, police said.

Investigators have not said whether they believe the man is the father of his daughter's baby but said the girls were living with the father when she became pregnant.

The man is married to the girls' biological mother but authorities said the two are separated.

Authorities also said at least one of the girls was a victim of a sex-related crime.
