Nelson Osceola had been the subject of two reports of physical abuse, and had a lengthy criminal history; the boy’s stepmom had undergone two neglect investigations.
Nelson Osceola’s rap sheet contained nine arrests, including charges of weapons possession on a school property, marijuana possession, aggravated assault with a weapon, burglary, fleeing police and battery. A court pleading cites “numerous” other reports from the Seminole police. The most recent case, the battery, remained pending during much of the time Nelson Osceola had custody of his son.
Less than two months after he was awarded custody of Ahziya, Nelson Osceola came back on DCF’s radar. Ahziya had been living with his father since the end of February 2014. On April 21 of that year, DCF’s hotline was told that the boy had “multiple bruises on his body,” along with fingertip-shaped bruises on his face. The Child Protection Team, which evaluates children for evidence of abuse, decided most of the bruises were inconclusive.
Despite all this, notice that this POS is still hopeful that he will regain custody of his other child (the one he and the step didn't manage to kill) and will "probably go free" from this latest DUI charge too.

Father Charged With Neglect In Son’s Death Faces New Charge

HOLLYWOOD (CBSMiami) – The Hollywood father charged with neglect for the death of his 3-year-old son is now facing new trouble.
Nelson Osceola appeared in bond court Thursday for allegedly driving under the influence.
The 24-year-old, who was arrested in March on child neglect charges in connection with the death of his son, Ahziya Osceola, was free on bond but is back behind bars on drunk driving charges.
According to police, in March, Osceola’s son’s bruised body was found stuffed in trash bags, crammed in a box in the home he shared with his wife and other family members.
Osceola’s wife, the 3-year-old’s stepmother, Analiz Osceola Rodenzo is charged with aggravated manslaughter and remains in jail.
Osceola’s lawyer, Hilliard Moldoff, says he’s still dealing with the emotional turmoil over the death of his son.
“Mr. Osceola is the father of a child who’s deceased and has been struggling with the reality that his son is dead. So to say that he was intoxicated doesn’t surprise me in the least and he was on the reservation which unfortunately, maybe, he feels more secure in,” Moldoff said.
But Osceola will most likely go free. Bond is set for just above $20,000.
“He doesn’t need a bond he’s not going anywhere. He’s invested in getting permission to have custody of his other child. I’m sure he’ll be out and be sober and be fine in a week he’ll get the message but this was just probably a wakeup call for Nelson.”
Osceola could post bond as soon as Thursday and be released from jail.
Meanwhile, prosecutors have upgraded his previous charges to child neglect with bodily hard.
Osceola is expected to go to court on that charge in July.

"Wonderful father" jailed for driving drunk at 100 miles an hour with 4-month-old son in car following domestic violence "incident"; dad was reportedly "upset" about "custody dispute" (Grand Junction, Colorado)
Let's summarize the apparent facts, at least as reported here.
* Dad VICTOR REYES assaults the mom, takes off with the 3-month-old baby in HER car. Mother states that that there were previous incidents of domestic violence that she had never reported.
* The intoxicated father then races car at speeds clocked around 100 miles an hour in a residential area
* When police finally locate the parked car, Dad threatens to fight the deputies. When arrested he starts slamming his head into the car of arresting officer. Continually issues death threats against officer, tried to kick officer, screams obscenities.
Wow. But in typical fathers rights fashion, we ignore the evidence and just simply declare that he's a "wonderful father." Really? If this is a wonderful father, what is a bad father?
Oh, and catch this. It's a classic play out of the fathers rights handbook. All the father's violent and criminal behavior can be excused because...he's in a "custody dispute"! It's all forgiven now! The poor dear was stressed!
Of course, any sensible person might scratch their head and think: Of course there is a dispute. Any decent, protective mother would do her darndest to keep a drunken volatile idiot like this one away from her kids.
But by FR logic, you would be wrong. Poor daddy has been most Woefully Wronged, while the mother is a gatekeeping witch. And when eventually somebody is murdered by an idiot like this, the same people will piss and moan and and claim that "nobody" could have foreseen such a "tragedy." It is really such bulls** at this point....

A man described by a supporter in court Wednesday as a “wonderful father” is facing allegations he drove drunk through a residential area at speeds nearing 100 mph with his 4-month-old son, which followed a domestic violence incident.
Victor Reyes, 25, of Clifton, was ordered jailed by County Court Judge Craig Henderson on $20,000 cash bond following his arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence, two counts of misdemeanor child abuse, careless driving, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, driving with a suspended license, second-degree aggravated motor vehicle theft, third-degree assault and domestic violence.
Grand Junction police were first called to 615 28 1/4 Road, Unit 611, around 9:20 p.m. Tuesday on a report of an assault in progress.
While officers were responding, dispatchers named Reyes as having left the home in a Honda Civic, heading east on Patterson Road from 28 1/4 Road, an arrest affidavit said.
At the home, Reyes’ alleged victim told police he’d suddenly grabbed their infant son, placed him in the car seat, and managed to leave in her Honda. She said Reyes had earlier grabbed her by the right hand and squeezed “really tight” — hard enough to break four fingernails.
She’d noticed alcohol on his breath and thought he was drunk. Reyes was reportedly upset about a custody dispute involving two more of his children with another mother.
“(Victim) stated Reyes grabbed (child) so fast that she does not believe he was buckled in the car seat,” an affidavit said. “(Victim) stated Reyes never said anything to her and just walked out the door with their child.”
“(Victim) said she has had issues in the past with Reyes but has never reported those issues,” the affidavit said.
The affidavit said a deputy captured on radar the Honda moving at 102 mph and 91 mph, while heading east on E Road in the general area of Bing Street. The stretch of road has a posted speed limit of 35 mph.
Deputies eventually caught up to the vehicle, parked in front of a unit at 487 Mae Street. The child was found at the Mae Street address, uninjured, in the care of a woman there. Reyes was also at the home, intoxicated and threatening to fight deputies.
When placed in the back of a patrol car, he started slamming his head into a window.
When asked if he’d take a field sobriety test, Reyes “told me to go (expletive) myself and tried to kick at me,” a deputy wrote in the affidavit.
“On the way (to jail) he yelled at me in English and Spanish and called me names and told me he was going to murder me over and over,” the affidavit said.
On Wednesday, Reyes’ victim and the mother of the child who rode in the car pleaded with Henderson for a “low-end bond,” while a friend who spoke separately to the judge called Reyes, “a great person and a wonderful father to his children,” but upset about a child custody situation.
The friend also said law enforcement claims of near 100 mph speeds during Tuesday’s incident were “exaggerated.”
District Attorney Pete Hautzinger said he has no reason to doubt information in Reyes’ arrest records. He also noted Reyes’ driver’s license was suspended because of failure to pay child support.
“In my mind, that goes a long way toward not being a good father,” Hautzinger said.

Dad "suspected" in brutal murder of 4-year-old son had history of child custody "battles" with boy's mother (Garland, Texas)
Well. Sounds like dad JOSEPH BLOCKER is an unrepentant cold-blooded sociopathic killer...and he formerly challenged the mother for custody. Such a surprise....
Still isn't clarified here whether Dad had full custody, but it sounds like a distinctive possibility.
I seriously doubt Mom assaulted this guy. It would be quite a coincidence that she was just as violent as he was. Sounds like a typical abuser attempt at smearing the mother.

(CBSDFW.COM) – There are new details in the death of a 4-year-old Garland boy, injured inside a washing machine.
Court records reveal the child suffered extensive trauma hours before anyone called 911.
The boy’s father, Joseph Blocker, is a suspect in the murder and has been released from jail. In court records, police claim Blocker showed almost no reaction to his son’s death or his own arrest.
A vigil was held for little Koda Blocker on Friday night. Hours after the gathering candles were still burning at the spot where neighbors came to pray for the 4-year-old. Children laid candles on the driveway as dozens of neighbors gathered outside the boy’s home.
“A little boy’s gone, so we’re praying,” one person said.
Records show that when Blocker called 911 on Tuesday he told the dispatcher that he had found unconscious in the family’s washing machine and was performing CPR.
But when paramedics arrived they found the boy had been dead for hours. Police also saw a pool of blood inside the washer.
In the report one detective wrote that Blocker had “told several different versions of a story” and appeared either “absent of emotion” or appeared to be “manufacturing emotion.”
At one point, Blocker claimed he’d slept undisturbed for four hours, leaving Koda and his 22-month-old sister unsupervised. But a detective says Blocker couldn’t explain how the washer started, or how his son could have tumbled through an entire wash cycle without him noticing.
Police arrested Blocker and charged him with capital murder, but released the 28-year-old from jail Friday pending further investigation.
CBS 11 News found other court records that show Blocker and Koda’s mother spent several years battling over child custody and child support.
Blocker also has an arrest for DWI. According to records in that case, he was taken into custody driving to pick up Koda from daycare.
Koda’s mother has an arrest for assaulting Blocker in front of their son.

A FATHER-of-two has been jailed after being found with hundreds of "horrific" images of child abuse.
At Newport Crown Court Mark Stoneman, 34, of Porthkerry Caravan Park, Rhoose, had asked to be spared a jail sentence in favour of treatment in the community. Judge William Gaskell told him: "I'm afraid that is an approach that is not only not attractive, but not likely", before jailing Stoneman for 16 months.
The court heard how Stoneman - who has been separated from his children's mother for some time - was tracked down as part of Operation Notarise, a UK wide police incentive which targeted users of peer to peer websites trading in child pornography.
When investigations found Stoneman to be a subscriber to one such website, he was arrested and had his home computer, iPhone and tablet seized.
On these devices police found 235 photographs and 89 movies of children being abused. Of these, 38 photos and 54 movies were "Category A" - the worst and highest classification.
Police also recovered 71 images of "extreme pornography". Stoneman initially gave a "no comment" police interview but later pleaded guilty to all charges.
Tim Naylor, defending Stoneman, told the court: "There isn't much in the way of mitigation, given the horrific material on his computer, phone and tablet.
"This was a bad period of his life where he was using alcohol and drugs, both of which he has resolved his issues with."
The court heard how Stoneman claimed to have initially looked at the images "out of curiosity" and it "spiralled" from there. He said he had experienced a sense of clarity since.
Mr Naylor said: "He thought, 'What if it was his own children in those images?'. He realised that what he was viewing was actually real life abuse, something at the time he didn't recognise.
"He's ashamed and disgusted with himself."
Stoneman had hoped to avoid a jail sentence in order to complete a three-year course of treatment for sexual offenders in the community, but Judge William Gaskell declined.
He told him that if he wanted to seek treatment he could do so after his 16 month sentence, half of which will be served behind bars.
Judge William Gaskell described and detailed some of the horrendous images Stoneman had viewed before telling him: "You downloaded these images for the purpose of getting sexual pleasure.
"You gave no mind to the fact that you were watching children who were being raped, who were the victims of sexual offences. you watched these children being abused for your pleasure.
"You won't get any 'good character' credit, because you aren't one."
The court heard how Stoneman had a list of previous offences including burglary, ABH, drink driving and battery.
In addition to the 16 month jail term, Stoneman was ordered to register as a sex offender for the next 10 years, to have his internet and computer use monitored upon release and to pay a £100 surcharge.

Court: No conflict of interest in Mesiti case
• Murder defendant still without legal representation

The quest to place Mark Edward Mesiti on trial for the murder of his 14-year-old Ceres daughter has been fraught with delays from the start.
The latest delay, however, was resolved recently by an appellate court which ruled that a prosecutor should not have been removed by Stanislaus Superior Court Judge John Freeland last August. Freeland removed Deputy District Attorney Annette Rees from the case saying that Mesiti planned to call her as a witness and thus presenting a conflict of interest.
The former Ceres man has been behind bars since March 28, 2009 to stand trial for the first-degree murder of his daughter, Alycia Augusta Mesiti. Authorities say he raped and sexually molested Alycia during 2005 and 2006, and then killed her on or around August 16, 2006. On March 25, 2009, Ceres Police found her body in the backyard of 3576 Alexis Avenue in Ceres where the family was living at the time of her murder.
Justices from the 5th District Court of Appeals -- Herbert Levy.Jennifer Detjen and Donald R. Franson Jr. - met on June 18 to hear the argument and determined that no conflict of interest was established.
Mesiti claimed there was a conflict with Rees because he said he spoke to Rees about a 2005 case that convicted his acquaintance, Gregory Joseph Ulrich, of sexually molesting Alycia. Ulrich went to jail after pleading no contest but has since died from cancer. Rees denied ever speaking to Mesiti about Ulrich and said she didn't recall a detective question the girl about Ulrich molesting her during her Child Abuse Interviews, Referrals and Evaluation (CAIRE) interview. The testimony of several others investigating the case cast doubts on the truthfulmess of Mesiti's claim.
Mesiti's move to get Rees off the case, said Deputy District Attorney Meghan Greerty last year, was nothing more than a lie designed to delay his death penalty case.
The three appellate court justices cited the fact that Judge Freeland viewed Mesiti's remarks as untruthful. Freeland defended his decision in the Fresno court saying it was a matter of admissibility of evidence and not his personal views that Mesiti was less than honest. The justices disagreed with Freeland and said they felt there was no conflict of interest with Rees helping to prosecuting the case against Mesiti.
"When ruling on a recusal motion, the trial court bears the responsibility of assessing the credibility of evidence before it," wrote Justice Levy in his opinion.
Mesiti claims that he's innocent of murder and that Ulrich murdered his daughter. Ulrich reportedly had been released from jail three days prior to Alycia's believed murder date. Ulrich was a registered sex offender who worked for Mesiti's home-based computer business on Faith Home Road.
District Attorney Birgit Fladager said her office looks forward to moving the case forward, although it's unclear who will represent Mesiti in court. His prior defense team of Robert Orenstein and Mark Sullivan are off the case. Mesiti had sent a communication to Orenstein that led to the "complete breakdown of the attorney-client relationship," said Orenstein.
In late 2012, Judge Freeland relieved defense attorney Robert Chase from the Mesiti case. Chase announced to the court that he had a potential conflict of interest. Mesiti's girlfriend, Shelly Welborn Walker helped testify against Mesiti in the drug trial in which he was convicted on March 18, 2011 and sentenced to five years. He was turned over to Stanislaus County for the murder prosecution in June 2011.
Authorities say Mesiti drugged Alycia from July 2005 through May 2006 so that he could commit lewd and sexual acts with her.
Alycia had been reported missing two days after her alleged Aug. 13, 2006 disappearance. Mark Mesiti told police that Alycia traveled to the San Jose area on August 11, 2006, to spend the weekend with a friend and that she telephoned on August 13, reporting that she had instead gone camping with other friends but would not disclose her location nor who she was with. Police say Mr. Mesiti claimed to receive periodic calls from Alycia who assured her things were okay.
Mesiti's criminal record includes domestic violence against Alycia's mother, Roberta Allen, drunk driving and bank fraud. The girl reportedly did not get along with her mother, Roberta Allen, who has a history of mental depression and attempted suicide. Court officials expressed concerns about Alycia's handling and turned her over to her father in November 2005 despite his criminal record.
In 2005 Mark Mesiti moved from the Bay area to Alexis Avenue, a neighborhood west of Morgan Road and just blocks from Sinclear Elementary School. Alycia had been enrolled by her father to attend Central Valley High School on Sept. 15, 2005, but never attended. On Oct. 6, 2005 CUSD received a request for her records to be sent to Harbor High School in Santa Cruz.
Roberta Allen told Ceres police that she did not believe her daughter ran away and suspected foul play. That's when police stepped up their investigation of the property and brought in a cadaver-detecting canine. The body was found wrapped in heavy black plastic and bound with duct tape near the patio buried under feet of dirt.
Mesiti is scheduled to be back in court on July 25.
This case is so horrendous I can't even begin to summarize it. Custodial dad MARK EDWARD MESITI is just pure evil, and there is a lot of competition for that title.

Court: No conflict of interest in Mesiti case
• Murder defendant still without legal representation

The quest to place Mark Edward Mesiti on trial for the murder of his 14-year-old Ceres daughter has been fraught with delays from the start.
The latest delay, however, was resolved recently by an appellate court which ruled that a prosecutor should not have been removed by Stanislaus Superior Court Judge John Freeland last August. Freeland removed Deputy District Attorney Annette Rees from the case saying that Mesiti planned to call her as a witness and thus presenting a conflict of interest.
The former Ceres man has been behind bars since March 28, 2009 to stand trial for the first-degree murder of his daughter, Alycia Augusta Mesiti. Authorities say he raped and sexually molested Alycia during 2005 and 2006, and then killed her on or around August 16, 2006. On March 25, 2009, Ceres Police found her body in the backyard of 3576 Alexis Avenue in Ceres where the family was living at the time of her murder.
Justices from the 5th District Court of Appeals -- Herbert Levy.Jennifer Detjen and Donald R. Franson Jr. - met on June 18 to hear the argument and determined that no conflict of interest was established.
Mesiti claimed there was a conflict with Rees because he said he spoke to Rees about a 2005 case that convicted his acquaintance, Gregory Joseph Ulrich, of sexually molesting Alycia. Ulrich went to jail after pleading no contest but has since died from cancer. Rees denied ever speaking to Mesiti about Ulrich and said she didn't recall a detective question the girl about Ulrich molesting her during her Child Abuse Interviews, Referrals and Evaluation (CAIRE) interview. The testimony of several others investigating the case cast doubts on the truthfulmess of Mesiti's claim.
Mesiti's move to get Rees off the case, said Deputy District Attorney Meghan Greerty last year, was nothing more than a lie designed to delay his death penalty case.
The three appellate court justices cited the fact that Judge Freeland viewed Mesiti's remarks as untruthful. Freeland defended his decision in the Fresno court saying it was a matter of admissibility of evidence and not his personal views that Mesiti was less than honest. The justices disagreed with Freeland and said they felt there was no conflict of interest with Rees helping to prosecuting the case against Mesiti.
"When ruling on a recusal motion, the trial court bears the responsibility of assessing the credibility of evidence before it," wrote Justice Levy in his opinion.
Mesiti claims that he's innocent of murder and that Ulrich murdered his daughter. Ulrich reportedly had been released from jail three days prior to Alycia's believed murder date. Ulrich was a registered sex offender who worked for Mesiti's home-based computer business on Faith Home Road.
District Attorney Birgit Fladager said her office looks forward to moving the case forward, although it's unclear who will represent Mesiti in court. His prior defense team of Robert Orenstein and Mark Sullivan are off the case. Mesiti had sent a communication to Orenstein that led to the "complete breakdown of the attorney-client relationship," said Orenstein.
In late 2012, Judge Freeland relieved defense attorney Robert Chase from the Mesiti case. Chase announced to the court that he had a potential conflict of interest. Dad with numberous domestic assault convictions charged with 2nd-degree murder in beating death of 2-month-old son (Deer River, Minnesota)
And nobody saw this coming? With this thug's history of violence, it was virtually a sure thing this would happen if you put him in charge of infant caretaking.

A man in northern Minnesota with a long criminal history of violent behavior is accused of second-degree murder in the beating death of his son, not yet 3 months old.
Emery J. Jenkins, of Deer River, remains jailed Sunday in the Itasca County jail ahead of a court appearance Monday, his 38th birthday, to answer allegations that he killed his son, Joseph, on Oct. 16.
According to the Sheriff’s Office and the criminal complaint:
Early on the afternoon of Oct. 16, a caller to 911 said the infant was in the family’s home and not breathing. Emergency personal responded and performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation on Joseph before he was taken to a Deer River hospital and then airlifted to St. Marys Hospital in Duluth.
The 2 1/2-month old baby died the next day from what the medical examiner described as “blunt force trauma,” more commonly known as blows from a beating. Joseph suffered a skull fracture, broken ribs and what appeared to be cuts or bites to his chest, hands and feet.
Jenkins was arrested Thursday afternoon and told authorities he dropped Joseph on his head in a bathtub and that a neighbor’s dog had bitten the boy while the infant was in a car seat.
Court records show numerous acts of domestic-related violence in Minnesota from 1995 to 2010. He’s been convicted three times for domestic assault, once for violating a protection order, twice for other assaults, three times for disorderly conduct and once for drunken driving.

"Really good" custodial dad murders five children and dumps their bodies in the woods (Wilcox County, Alabama)
You know what really makes me sick? When some f***er like this one, who slaughtered his five kids, is praised as a "really good dad." Guess we set the bar pretty low, eh? Just what do you have to do to be a not-so-good dad? Slaughter 20 people?
I don't buy that this guy "snapped" for one minute. In almost all these kinds of cases, IF it involves mental illness, there is a history of mental illness. So either one of two scenarios happened.
1) Some judge gave a drug-addicted, deeply mentally ill, and demented father custody of five young children because?
2) Some judge gave a drug-addicted, deeply violent, and abusive father with custody of five children because?
Either way, we're not told who gave this piece of sh** custody or why the mother was shoved out of their lives. Probably just another example of an abusive and violent daddy (with an enabler father) who set out to punish/control the mother by stripping her of her kids, and then killed the kids like so many rabid dogs.
I want to see the judge's name.

The bodies of five young children were found in the woods of Alabama on Tuesday, and police said they are believed to be siblings who were reported missing in South Carolina a week ago.
The children’s father, Timothy Ray Jones Jr., 32, was in custody in Mississippi, where police stopped his blood-soaked Cadillac Escalade over the weekend, a prosecutor told NBC News.
“God help me and God help my son,” Jones Jr.’s father told NBC News after learning that police had found the five bodies in an undeveloped clearing off Highway 10 in Wilcox County, Alabama.
His son has not been charged in connection with the deaths of the children, who ranged in age from 1 to 8. He was being held on a charge of driving under the influence while the investigation continued, said Daniel Jones, the district attorney of Smith County, Mississippi.
The DA said it was likely he would be prosecuted in South Carolina.
“What we believe has occurred is he killed the children in South Carolina and drove to Alabama with them,” he said.
He said that the father, who was allegedly high on synthetic marijuana when he was detained in Mississippi, made incriminating statements and gave investigators the information that led them to the bodies in Alabama. Notes referring to violence against the children were also found, he said.
“I wouldn’t say he made a full confession, but he said enough,” the DA said.
Asked about a motive, the prosecutor said the suspect — who was described as a computer genius — claimed the children were plotting to kill him.
“I think he probably just went mad,” he said.
Timothy Jones Sr. said the last time anyone had seen his son at work or the children at school in Lexington County, South Carolina, was Aug. 28.
The six of them were supposed to travel to Mississippi for a family gathering on Labor Day weekend but never arrived, he said. He said that on Sept. 3, he made a missing persons report.
Meanwhile, the mother of the children also reported them missing on Sept. 3 after she could not reach her ex-husband, who had custody of the kids, according to the Lexington County Sheriff’s Office.
Jones Jr. was not heard from until Sept. 6 when he was stopped at a checkpoint, where he encountered a sheriff’s deputy who “had been around long enough to know the smell of death,” the DA said. “He picked up on it immediately.”
The deputies opened the doors of the Escalade and “saw he had taken bleach and poured it all over the back of the Escalade,” the DA said. “You could tell where it bleached the carpet but the blood was still there and there were maggots. They took him into custody at that time and as he came off the synthetic marijuana he began to talk about what happened.”
The elder Jones said his son had no history of violence or emotional problems. He had primary custody of the children after his divorce was finalized a year ago.

Drunk dad wanted for fleeing scene of crash, leaving infant son injured and bleeding in the road (Conroe, Texas)
So you have a drunk father who gets belligerent with the mother and starts a fight, takes off with the baby in his car, doesn't bother to use a car seat, gets into an accident, then flees the scene, leaving the baby bleeding in the road. What a piece of sh**.
But notice that although the mother is also a victim is all this, she has LOST CUSTODY to foster care, though it appears that she has not been charged with anything. Typical double standard. Mothers are supposed to be super heroes who can stop violent criminal men in their tracks--and they are punished when they "fail." Only in our dreams....

CONROE, Texas – The Texas Department of Public Safety is asking for the public's help in locating a 29-year-old man in connection with an incident involving his infant son being abandoned at the site of a rollover accident in July.
James William Hammons Jr. is wanted on arrest warrants for child abandonment, driving while intoxicated with a child under 15 years of age and felony failure to stop and render aid, DPS said.
According to investigators, the incident happened around 10:30 p.m. on July 20 on East Williams Road and South Williams Road.
Witnesses rushed to the scene and found a baby lying face down in the road and bleeding.
"They thought it was a doll that came out of the vehicle, they didn't realize it was a child," said Jake Millsap, a neighbor. "It was laying face down, until they flipped him over and was blinking at them."
"They had an argument and he took off with the baby, and the baby wasn't in a safety seat," said another neighbor.
Officials said the child had been ejected from a Ford Fusion, which was upside down about 20 feet away.
PHI Air Medical transported the infant to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston.
The child has since been released and is in foster care. One store clerk says he saw Hammon 24 hours ago buying a Monster energy drink from the corner store.
Anyone with information regarding Hammons should contact the Conroe East DPS Office, 936-442-2800.

Dad with extensive criminal history arrested for assaulting 12-year-old son; boy now with "relatives"--what happened to Mom? (Kershaw County, South Carolina)
The most interesting part about this article is what it fails to say or explain.
Like, why was a father like ANTONIO GREEN, a man with a violent criminal history, allowed anywhere near a child?
And why is there no mention of the boy's mother? She apparently has not been arrested, or that would have been reported. And she didn't get the boy back, because unnamed "relatives" have him now.
So what happened to Mom? With a man this violent, you have to wonder what he did to her over the years. Did he strip her of custody through a court-sanctioned campaign of terror? Is she "missing"? Is she deceased? If so, do we know if it was truly from natural causes?
These are the first questions we should be asking when a violent father--with no sign of the mother around--assaults or even kills a child. But of course, it is taboo for the media to say anything.

Sheriff: Father beat 12-year-old son with fists, flashlight

A 48-year-old Kershaw County man was arrested and charged with second degree assault and battery after investigators say he beat his 12-year-old son.
Kershaw County Sheriff's deputies say Antonio Green got into an argument with his son about a missing pair of keys.
Green, who was reportedly drunk during the incident, then beat the child with his fists and a flashlight.
The boy, according to deputies, fled the scene to a neighbor's house where 911 was called. Kershaw County EMS also treated the child and took him to KershawHealth.
Deputies arrived at Green's Bunker Hill Road residence a short time later and immediately took him into custody. His bond was set at $20,000 and he remains at the Kershaw County Detention Center.
The child, meanwhile, was removed from the home and is staying with relatives.
Kershaw County Sheriff Jim Matthews says Green has an extensive criminal record with arrests for assault and battery, disorderly conduct, DUI, DUS, criminal domestic violence, criminal domestic violence high and aggravated, and open container.
Like, why was a father like ANTONIO GREEN, a man with a violent criminal history, allowed anywhere near a child?
And why is there no mention of the boy's mother? She apparently has not been arrested, or that would have been reported. And she didn't get the boy back, because unnamed "relatives" have him now.
So what happened to Mom? With a man this violent, you have to wonder what he did to her over the years. Did he strip her of custody through a court-sanctioned campaign of terror? Is she "missing"? Is she deceased? If so, do we know if it was truly from natural causes?
These are the first questions we should be asking when a violent father--with no sign of the mother around--assaults or even kills a child. But of course, it is taboo for the media to say anything.

Sheriff: Father beat 12-year-old son with fists, flashlight

A 48-year-old Kershaw County man was arrested and charged with second degree assault and battery after investigators say he beat his 12-year-old son.
Kershaw County Sheriff's deputies say Antonio Green got into an argument with his son about a missing pair of keys.
Green, who was reportedly drunk during the incident, then beat the child with his fists and a flashlight.
The boy, according to deputies, fled the scene to a neighbor's house where 911 was called. Kershaw County EMS also treated the child and took him to KershawHealth.
Deputies arrived at Green's Bunker Hill Road residence a short time later and immediately took him into custody. His bond was set at $20,000 and he remains at the Kershaw County Detention Center.
The child, meanwhile, was removed from the home and is staying with relatives.

Posted: 07/08/14, 10:43 AM EDT | WEST CHESTER — A Coatesville man who beat his 4-month-old so badly that the child was hospitalized with brain injuries for more than two months blamed the downward spiral of his life on chronic substance abuse at his sentencing Monday.
“For the last couple of years, drugs and alcohol have caused a major downfall in my life,” Barry Hill told President Judge James P. MacElree II as he was about to be sentenced on charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, endangering the welfare of a child and driving under the influence.
Hill pleaded guilty to the charges as part of a plea agreement.
“I’ve lost pretty much everything in my life, my family, my job,” Hill, 30, said in a muffled voice as he stood before the judge. At the same time he admitted to abusing his son, he also acknowledged that he beat his girlfriend when she was pregnant with their third child.
MacElree, however, told the defendant that he was lucky about one thing — that he and his attorney, Assistant Public Defender Meredith Copeland, had been able to work out a sentence that would see him sentenced to four to eight years in state prison for the child abuse, and concurrent time for the other charges. Had he appeared in court without an agreement, the judge suggested, his sentence would have been far harsher.
“The facts here are very disturbing,” MacElree said, with Hill nodding his head in agreement.
According to the case that Deputy District Attorney Deborah Ryan laid out for MacElree, Coatesville police and emergency personnel were called to the house in the 200 block of West Chestnut Street that Hill shared with his girlfriend and the mother of his two children, Rachel Davis, at about 1 a.m. Feb. 18, 2012, for the report of a child in cardiac arrest.
When authorities arrived, they rushed the child first to Brandywine Hospital and then to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, or CHOP. There, Dr. Hui-fai Fong examined he child and found a skull fracture, subdural bleeding, contusions, bruises on his belly, broken ribs and a lacerated liver.
Fong told city police Detective Shawn Dowds that the injuries were non-accidental and a clear sign of abuse. He said the head injuries would have been caused by shaking the child into a whiplash situation, and that he had also detected rib fractures that were partially healed, suggesting that there had been earlier injuries.
When Dowds interviewed Davis, she told him that when she went out the night of the incident with friends, she left the 4-month-old and her 19-month-old son in the hands of their father, Hill. She said the younger boy appeared to be fine when she left around 8 p.m.
Hill was interviewed by police twice, Ryan said, changing his story about what happened both times.
The first interview took place at Brandywine Hospital in the early morning of Feb. 18, 2012, Hill told a police investigator that he had been drinking several beers that evening, but that he did not do anything to the child. He said, however, that an alarm clock had fallen on the baby’s head two days before, but that he did not require medical attention.
On Feb. 23, 2012, the same day police spoke to Davis, Hill was interviewed again and admitted that he did shake the baby to try to wake him up the morning of the incident, and that while doing so the door to the bedroom fell off its hinges and may have stuck the child. He also said that when he tried to do CPR on the baby, he might have hit his head on an electric drill that was lying on the child’s bed.
The 4-month old was kept at CHOP in intensive care, Ryan told MacElree, for two months, and was later transferred to a rehabilitation hospital. The boy still suffers the aftereffects from his brain injuries, she noted.
Dowds filed charges against Hill on Jan. 16, 2013.
Between the night of the incident involving the 4-month-old and his arrest, Hill was also charged with simple assault after city police were called to the house on West Chestnut Street around 11:45 p.m. on June 13, 2012 for a domestic dispute call. There, Davis told officers that Hill had punched her repeatedly in the face and stomach. She said she was 7½ months pregnant.
Then, on Dec. 7, 2013, when Hill was out on bail on both cases, he was driving on Route 30 in Caln when he collided with another car around 3:30 p.m. Officers said he showed signs of intoxication, could not pass field sobriety tests and was taken to the hospital where his blood was drawn. He had a blood alcohol count of .207, more than twice the legal limit.
In addition to the prison sentence, Hill will have to serve five years of probation after his release on parole. He also is not permitted to have unsupervised contact with the children after his release from prison.

LAS CRUCES, N.M. – A Las Cruces man accused of shoving his wife and daughter to the floor while he was drunk was arrested Wednesday night.
Police said Michael A. Suazo Jr. spent much of Wednesday drinking alcohol and got into an argument with his wife that afternoon.
The argument escalated to the point where Suazo, 41, allegedly grabbed his wife and threw her down on a couch, police said.
Detectives learned the couple’s teenage daughter tired to intervene, but was shoved to the ground by Suazo and she hit her back on a wooden staircase, police said.
Afterward the teen drove her father to the store and Suazo drove them back to their home to find officers at the scene, police said.
The teen got out of the vehicle; Suazo drove away and was eventually stopped by police.
Officers said they detected a strong alcohol odor in Suazo’s breath when he was pulled over. Suazo was charged with battery against a household member and intentional child abuse. He also faces charges of driving with a suspended or revoked license, aggravated driving under the influence and resisting or evading arrest.
He was booked into the county jail with bail set at $7,500.

PAW PAW, Mich. (May 2, 2014) – A father was caught hiding drugs in a container of baby formula following a traffic stop in Van Buren County this week and his 10-month-old was in the car with him.
Deputies said he wasn’t just storing the product when they stopped him, he was using it as well leading to his arrest.
Deputy Brian Matthews with the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office said 33-year-old Andrew Dentler of Paw Paw was pulled over for having a taillight out.
The deputy said Dentler was under the influence and found evidence tucked inside a package of dry baby formula. 58 grams of marijuana and a chunk of a marijuana wax, which is concentrated THC from pot.
“They take that substance, place it onto other drugs itself and smoke that as well which gives a bigger high,” said Deputy Matthews.
According to investigators, the father was already on probation for driving under the influence when he was pulled over at the corner of 52nd Avenue just west of CR 665 in Van Buren County on Thursday.
During the most recent stop, deputies said they could smell marijuana. The deputy said Dentler admitted he had drugs in the car.
The location of the drugs prompted a charge of child endangerment. Deputy Matthews said it’s possible the THC from both the wax and the marijuana buds could contaminate the formula, putting the child at risk.
“Anytime you have drugs mixed in with food it’s a bad thing for the child and all the parties involved in it,” he said.
After placing Dentler under arrest, investigators said a 35-year-old woman, a friend of Dentler, stopped to pick-up the infant but police said she too was high on drugs at the time.
“A person stops by and tries to help out the first on but unfortunately she is obviously intoxicated by drugs and subsequently she was arrested for driving while intoxicated by drugs as well,” he said.
The deputy said eventually a sober family member was able to give the child a safe ride home.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A father arrested last year for DUI outside a south Nashville elementary school was arrested again over the weekend after police say he threw a child's car seat with the child still strapped in it.
Joseph Skinner was arrested Sunday night and charged with child endangerment.
Police said Skinner, 31, got into an argument with the child's mother and her boyfriend in a parking lot. During the argument, Skinner unbuckled the child's car seat and, with the child still in it, threw it out of the car.
Police found the little boy with markings on his back. He was taken to Summit Medical Center where he was treated for injuries to his back.
Skinner was booked into the Metro jail on $80,000 bond.
He was the only person arrested in connection with the incident.
According to police records, Skinner was a passenger in an SUV his wife was driving, along with the baby's mother and her boyfriend.
An argument started in the vehicle and Skinner's wife pulled over in the parking lot of a business on Old Hickory Boulevard.
That is when police report a physical fight broke out inside the vehicle between the adults. During the fight is when police said Skinner unhooked the baby's car seat and tossed it out of the car into the parking lot.
Officers were called to the parking lot by a fight in progress call, but when they arrived Skinner was gone. Metro police arrested him later in a different location.
News 2 attempted to contact the baby's mother, but we were unable to reach her by phone.
"I would be horrified if that happened to my child," mother of a 2-year-old daughter Lauren Smith said. "That just seems like a heartless person to me."
Last November, Skinner was arrested outside Tusculum Elementary School after the school's principal saw him staggering around the parking lot.
Skinner had just dropped off one of his children at the school.
Responding officers found Skinner intoxicated with his two-year-old child in his car.
According to arrest records, Skinner told the officers he had taken oxycodone and soma. He was found guilty of DUI with a child and DUI.
He also had an outstanding fugitive warrant from Georgia at the time.
Skinner is due in court April 17th for his latest arrest.

BEAVER FALLS (KDKA) — Ayende Crawford’s arrest two years ago was hard to forget.
He was taken into custody as his girlfriend was giving birth to their daughter.
Crawford, also known as Ayende Solomon, was holding his girlfriend’s hand at Heritage Valley Health System’s Beaver Hospital when he was cuffed by deputies and taken from the delivery room.
The baby was born minutes later.
At the time, Crawford was on Beaver County’s Most Wanted Fugitive List for aggravated assault, DUI, drug possession, unlawful restraint and reckless endangerment.
Last Sunday evening, in the 500-block of 17th Street in Beaver Falls, police noticed a blue Audi with illegally-tinted windows.
“Tried to stop the vehicle for a traffic violation,” said Chief Charles Jones, of the Beaver Falls Police. “The vehicle failed to stop.”
The driver, identified as 23-year-old Ayende Crawford, took off. With lights and siren, police gave chase, blowing through stop signs and down one-way streets, the wrong way.
When Crawford finally pulled over, he exited with his hands up.
In the back of the Audi, officers found Crawford’s 2-year-old daughter, Naliah. The toddler was in a car seat, but not buckled in.
“[She] became sick because of the excessive speed of the vehicle, bouncing around in the vehicle,” said Chief Jones.
Finding the little girl after the chase took police by surprise.
“Very scary, especially based on the fact that the officers at the time, when they were trying to stop the vehicle, didn’t realize there was a child in the vehicle till afterwards,” Chief Jones said.
Police allegedly also found marijuana and crack cocaine on Crawford.

BEAVER FALLS (KDKA) — Ayende Crawford’s arrest two years ago was hard to forget.
He was taken into custody as his girlfriend was giving birth to their daughter.
Crawford, also known as Ayende Solomon, was holding his girlfriend’s hand at Heritage Valley Health System’s Beaver Hospital when he was cuffed by deputies and taken from the delivery room.
The baby was born minutes later.
At the time, Crawford was on Beaver County’s Most Wanted Fugitive List for aggravated assault, DUI, drug possession, unlawful restraint and reckless endangerment.

Police in the South Bay say a driver who intentionally crashed his car into a home was trying to kill his family. George Kiriyama reports.
Police in the South Bay say a driver who intentionally crashed his car into a home was trying to kill his passengers: his wife and two kids.
The car, a four-door Acura TL, went through the fence and took out a metal pillar that had been placed there.
Apparently, other cars have gone through the fence of the Campbell home before, but those were accidents. This incident, at a home at the intersection of Westmont and San Tomas Aquino, was intentional, according to Campbell police.
Police arrested the driver, Campbell-resident Anthony McSherry, for attempted homicide because, they say, he was endangering the lives of his family members who were also in the car. All four of them were hospitalized with minor injuries.
McSherry, 27, also was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. He was booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail.
A witness told NBC Bay Area the crash sounded like a house had exploded. He says he ran down the block and saw the driver running away from the backyard.
Another person chased after the driver, caught him and brought him back. Other neighbors rushed over to rescue the mother and two kids out of the car.
"When I came around the corner, the car was in here, the hole in the bushes, and it was smoking,” neighbor Rich Garnaas said. “There were kids in the car screaming and crying. The mother was in there.”
Two people were inside the home at the time of the crash. They were not hurt.
Campbell police said a building inspector was called to the scene to assess damage to the rear of the home.

A preliminary hearing began Tuesday for a San Diego father accused of abandoning his critically injured 4-year-old son at the site of a car wreck off Interstate 5.
On Jun. 2, Angelo Fabiani Arroyo, 40, crashed his pickup truck on I-5 near Old Town San Diego and the Midway area, rolling the vehicle off the roadway. Arroyo’s 4-year-old son, Valentino, was also in the truck.
Arroyo’s vehicle wound up landing on its side on an embankment along Jefferson Street. Upon impact, little Valentino was partially ejected from his car seat and the truck.
Witnesses at the time told NBC 7 they could see they boy hanging out of the window of the wreckage.
According to California Highway Patrol officials, Arroyo took off running immediately after the crash, leaving Valentino behind.
CHP officials say Arroyo returned to the scene a moment later to unbuckle the boy from his car seat, but then got scared and took off running again.
Unstrapped, Valentino fell on his back and hit the concrete curb, falling approximately 10 feet from the truck to the ground, CHP Officer Juan Escobar said at the time of the crash.
Good Samaritans helped pull Valentino from the vehicle, and he was taken to Rady Children’s Hospital. The boy was badly injured and later died at the hospital.
Arroyo was arrested two days later – on Jun. 4 – in Imperial Beach and charged with a hit and run and child endangerment.
The father was arraigned on Jun. 6 and pleaded not guilty to both charges. During his emotionally-charged court appearance in June, Arroyo’s loved ones defended him, saying he panicked following the crash and was possibly disoriented.
One family friend called Arroyo a “beautiful, loving father” who suffered utter shock following the crash, adding, “He went crazy. He went crazy.”
A prosecutor revealed Arroyo was on probation at the time of the crash in connection with a DUI case from two years ago.
If convicted, Arroyo faces seven years in prison.
As of noon Tuesday, Arroyo’s preliminary hearing was underway.

A Tucson father who is suspected of taking his 4-year-old to a drug buy instead of preschool, led deputies on a low-speed chase before being arrested Thursday afternoon.
Gary Campbell, 35, was supposed to drop off his daughter at preschool. When the little girl did not show up at school by about 12:45 p.m., the child’s mother called Campbell to find out where they were, said Deputy Tracy Suitt, spokesman for the Pima County Sheriff’s Department.
“Campbell told her he bought some drugs and the child was with him,” Suitt said.
Deputies tried to call Campbell on his cell phone, but he did not answer. The deputies began searching for him and just after 3 p.m., they spotted his vehicle near the intersection of West Orange Grove Road and North La Cholla Boulevard.
The deputies attempted to stop Campbell, but he would not pull over. Instead he led deputies on a low-speed, 20-miles-per-hour chase with his daughter in the vehicle.
At the intersection of North La Cholla Boulevard and West Hospital Drive, deputies spread tire-deflating spike strips across the road to stop Campbell, but he drove over them and a second set of spikes and continued trying to evade deputies on four flat tires at a rate of 10 miles per hour, Suitt said.
Deputies surrounded Campbell with their vehicles in an attempt to make him stop. Instead, he rammed two patrol cars and continued driving. Deputies, finally, were able to force his vehicle off the road at North Shannon Road and West Giaconda Place, Suitt said.
Because Campbell would not get out of the car after being forced off the road, deputies had to break the driver’s side window to open the door. In the process, Campbell received cuts on the face from shards of glass, Suitt said.
The 4-year-old was unharmed. There was a child car seat in the vehicle, but Suitt did not know if the girl was buckled into it during the pursuit.
Campbell was booked into the Pima County jail and faces one count each of endangerment, aggravated DUI with a child, aggravated DUI with a suspended license, criminal damage, unlawful flight, DUI child abuse, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a dangerous drug, and two counts of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer.

Dad arrested for DWI while two kids in the car (College Station, Texas)
I suspect that this is one of those cases where Daddy had his visitation that night. If he had been living with the children's mother, I bet he would have left the kids at home, and gone out alone or with his buddies. At any rate, there is no mention of where the mom was while Daddy was out "partying" with the kids.

STONINGTON, Conn. (AP) - Connecticut police say a frightened 10-year-old boy called to say he was considering jumping from a car his father was driving while under the influence.
Police said 49-year-old Owen Gilman, of Warwick, R.I., hit another vehicle Wednesday night on Interstate 95 in Stonington. The unidentified motorist in the other vehicle was hospitalized. His condition wasn't known Thursday.
Gilman was charged with reckless driving, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and other offenses. It wasn't clear if Gilman has a lawyer. A telephone listing for Gilman couldn't be found.
Rhode Island state police first got the call from the boy, who said he was with his 12-year-old sister.
The children were treated for lacerations.
Police said Gilman was uninjured and arrested when he failed a field sobriety test. He's being held on $35,000 bond.
