Dad with history of child abuse, domestic violence kidnaps 2-year-old daughter (West Valley City, Utah)

Non-custodial dad GABRIEL VELAZQUEZ, who has a history of domestic violence and child abuse, has "allegedly" kidnapped his 2-year-old daughter. It is suspected that Dad is on his way to Mexico. You think the U.S. State Department will get personally involved in this one? Since it involves a father abductor, I'm guessing not.

SALT LAKE CITY - Utahs' Amber Alert system was activated Saturday after a 2-year-old girl was allegedly abducted from her West Valley City home at about 9:18 a.m. The victim is Natalia Velazquez, and she was last seen wearing a navy blue tank top with Curious George on a surfboard and navy blue shorts. The suspect is 24-year-old Gabriel Velazquez, Natalia's non-custodial father. The suspect is 5'5", 130 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black sweater with a green shirt underneath and black jeans. Police are looking for a maroon 2001 Ford Focus with Utah license plates reading B243DW.

The suspect's vehicle will also be occupied by Gabriel Velazquez' brother, 20-year-old Eduardo Velazquez Camacho. Police have reason to believe they may be en route to Mexico.
