Dad charged with felony child abuse for swinging 5-week-old daughter while assaulting baby's mom (Tahlequah, Oklahoma)
November 21, 2013
Dad is identified as CORNELIO GONZALES.
Notice the typical way that an assault on a woman is minimized as a "domestic dispute." If this guy randomly assaulted some guy on the street, would it be a "public dispute"? Of course not.

TAHLEQUAH — Prosecutors on Wednesday filed felony child abuse charges against a Tahlequah man who allegedly swung his daughter by her clothes during a domestic dispute.
Cornelio Gonzales, 20, is charged with child abuse by injury, aggravated assault and battery, two counts of domestic assault and battery in the presence of a minor, and obstructing an officer.
Cherokee County Sheriff’s Deputy Dexter Scott said Gonzales allegedly grabbed his 5-week-old daughter during a dispute, and refused to the give the child to a nearby person who was not involved in the fight. Gonzales allegedly kept the baby in his hands during the fight.
The child was eventually removed from Gonzales by force. A woman involved in the dispute, along with a bystander, then took the child into a room to get away, but Gonzales allegedly forced his way in and attacked them.
Gonzales allegedly ran before deputies arrived. He was later captured by a Cherokee Nation marshal and booked into jail. Gonzales was given a $15,000 bond, and he remains in jail. -
