It's pretty common in murder-suicide news accounts to tiptoe around as to what happened. So the lack of agency here is pretty common.

Still, it's clear that dad SCOTT JONES committed a triple homicide.

There are enough hints to provide the real story, if you piece them together. A father with "marital problems" (i.e. a history of abusive/controlling behavior) and a history of suicide threats. A mother who wanted out, who had already filed for divorce. That a family caretaker was nervous enough about Daddy to call the police for a "well-being check."

So like too many abusers who fear the loss of control, Daddy kills everybody in a final blood bath exercise of Total Mastery.

Massachusetts couple found dead with two infants said to be having marital problems

A Massachusetts couple who were found dead along with their two infant sons inside a Massachusetts home Monday were having marital problems, a family member has revealed.

The bodies of 43-year-old Scott Jones, his wife 43-year-old Mei Kum Jones and their sons Colt and Cameron were discovered in a two-story, multi-family home in Arlington, a Boston suburb north of Cambridge, after police were asked to do a well-being check on the family. The twins would have turned a year old on Nov. 26.

Authorities have released few details about the deaths, but Mei Kum Jones' brother, Ben Li, said in an interview with Boston's WBZ-TV that the couple had recent marital problems.

"I think he just moved out a couple of days ago, and I think she's going through the motion of the divorce," Li told the station.

He called his sister "a great person, a loving mom, a loving, caring person."

A source also told the Boston Herald that the home was the scene of at least two police calls in the summer of 2010.

The source said one visit was sparked by Jones, who was threatening to kill himself, and the second was for an unspecified reason.

“There were signs of trouble,” Clare MacFarlane, whose mother lives next door to the Jones' home, told the Boston Globe.

Authorities say the case appears to be an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public.

Arlington Police Chief Fred Ryan told the Boston Herald that an officer stopped by the home to conduct a well-being check and discovered the bodies. Ryan told The Boston Globe that a caretaker for the children called in and asked for the family to be checked on. The state medical examiner's office removed the bodies Monday evening.

A source told Fox 25 that the weapon appeared to have been involved in the incident is some type of cutting tool.

Caroline Ronten, a former co-worker of Mei Jones at two companies, said her friend had seemed happily married when they reconnected last fall after several years and she was pregnant with the twins.

"She seemed really happy and really positive," Ronten said.

Ronten said she never met Scott Jones but she and Mei Jones would chat when they crossed paths.

"We ran into each other at Starbucks and in the neighborhood, and I saw her and her husband walking the twins in their double stroller," she said. "The babies were adorable."

Neighbor Stephen Trebino, who grew up across the street from the couple's home, said he often saw one or the other of them walking with the babies. He said Scott Jones was nice to his father and would shovel the sidewalk without asking when it snowed."He was friendly," Trebino said.

Mei Kum Jones had worked for Road Scholar, an educational travel program formerly known as Elderhostel, which called her "a valued member of our team" and said her loss was "deeply felt by all of us."

"I'm heartsick for the kids. It's heartbreaking," neighbor Amy Iannelli, 74, told the Boston Herald.
