A Port Richey, FL father was arrested Wednesday for allegedly beating and strangling his 14-year-old daughter. According to the police report gleaned from WSTP in Florida, on February 4, 2012, Darren Maloney (52) of 5200 Mallet Drive in Port Richey struck his daughter multiple times throughout her face, neck and chest - and then proceeded to strangle the child.

At one point, the report says he told her she needed to be hit in the head with a baseball bat. Instead, the report says he tried to smother her with a pillow. ~WSTP

Mr. Maloney has been charged with Child Abuse, and, Domestic Battery by Strangulation.
