Killer dad's appeal rejected by court (Adelaide, Australia)
We've posted on dad RAMAZAN ACAR before. He thought 33 years in prison was "excessive" for the cold and calculated murder of his 2-year-old daughter. Fortunately, the judge disagreed.

Killer dad's appeal rejected by court

THE mother of a toddler stabbed to death by the child's father has praised a court's rejection of his appeal.
Ramazan Acar boasted on Facebook about killing his daughter, Yazmina, before stabbing her, and dumping her body in scrub at the Greenvale Reservoir Reserve.
Acar had convinced Yazmina's mum, Rachelle D'Argent, to allow him to take their daughter to a milk bar for some chocolate.
She reluctantly agreed.
She never saw her two-year-old again.
Acar was dubbed "the Facebook killer" because he used the social media site to post chilling messages.
One of them read: "bout 2 kill ma kid."
Acar was jailed for life with a 33-year minimum after pleading guilty to murder, a punishment he argued was manifestly excessive.
But Court of Appeal judge Justice Mark Weinberg yesterday refused Acar leave to appeal against the penalty.
"This was a brutal and callous murder, which, in my view, should be characterised as one of the worst cases of its kind," the judge said.
"It was aggravated by the applicant's behaviour towards Ms D'Argent, which was both cruel and sadistic," he added.
Outside the Court of Appeal, a smiling Ms D'Argent said: "I'm very happy with the decision."
