Dad arrested after smoking dope, "finding" 6-month-old son dead (Sand Springs, Oklahoma)
Is JOBE LEE JONES a custodial father? Sure sounds like it. Notice how the daddy says that he and his kids move around a lot. NOT that he and the mom and the kids move around a lot. And the police say that HE was incapable of taking care of the children, not that the parents were. Where the hell is the mother in this story? Notice that the surviving 1-year-old daughter is in the custody of Oklahoma's Department of Human Services--God help her. And not in her mother's care.
And how did this lazy @$$ pothead dad get custody of two kids under the age of 1? Since the dead baby was 6-months old, it's obvious that the kids must have had different mothers as well. So Daddy stripped TWO moms of custody? Who the hell went along with that?
Something ain't kosher in Oklahoma. It's like Serenity Deal all over again....

SAND SPRINGS - A man was arrested Tuesday on child-neglect complaints after authorities found his 6-month-old son dead in a house they described as "in complete disarray."
Police believe that Jobe Lee Jones, 20, had been smoking marijuana Monday night when he fell asleep on a couch with his son and infant daughter.
Jones reported that he woke up about noon Tuesday and discovered that the boy was not breathing, Assistant Police Chief Mike Carter said.
Authorities found Daethe Anthony Ray Jones dead on the floor.
"We do think it's a tragic event," Carter said. "He was unable to care for the children properly, and unfortunately that did result in the death of one of the children."
Jones told police that he and his children moved around frequently and were temporarily staying at a friend's house in the 400 block of West Eighth Street, Carter said.
According to a police report, Jones and the children were sleeping in a room littered with empty beer cans, food wrappers, dirty dishes and clothing, ashtrays and marijuana paraphernalia.
Officers found six marijuana smoking devices in the house and loose marijuana on a cutting board, the report says.
They also found rodent feces on the kitchen counters, and the refrigerator had only beer and a bottle of juice, the report adds.
"Fortunately, this is a rare case for Sand Springs, and we hope it doesn't happen again for a very long time," Carter said. "I can't think of another case like this in recent memory."
Jones was booked into the Tulsa Jail on two complaints of child neglect and two marijuana-related complaints. His bail was set at $100,500.
The state Medical Examiner's Office is determining the boy's cause of death, Carter said.
Jones could face additional complaints after the findings are released, he said.
Jones' daughter, who is about 1, was taken into Department of Human Services custody, police said.
Carter said the house's owner is not considered a suspect in the case.
